Boracay's white beach is divided into three sections called Station 1, 2 and 3. Each station has beach front hotels and resorts which can vary from budget to upscale.
Station 1 is home to the top hotels and resorts where the beach is at its widest. The restaurant, shopping, and entertainment heart of White Beach is Station 2 is home to D'Mall, a collection of 100 small tourist shops and restaurants that reach from the main road to the white beach. The last section of White beach is Station 3.
Hotels closest to the Shangri-la would be (in order of affordability): Hotel Soffia, Savoy Hotel Newcoast, Movenpick Resort, and Crimson Resort. Unfortunately, there is little to do in this corner of the island outside of the resorts, and you would need to hail a tricycle (~P100-150 around $2-$3) to get to the Shang each time. If you would like to be near more activities, the beach itself is divided into sections called "Stations," of which the closest to the Shang is Station #1. Recommended hotel options there are: The Lind, Discovery Shores, White House, Sea Wind.
