Lisbon (LIS) is the closest airport to Sintra. Most guests are likely staying in Lisbon a few nights leading up to the wedding, including the night of our welcome party April 26th - planned to be in Lisbon.
The wedding will be in Sintra and there are hotels linked closest to the venue.
We encourage you to book your flights out by December.
The best way to get to Sintra from Lisbon is by train. You can catch the train to Sintra from Rossio Train Station. Trains depart roughly every 30 minutes and the journey takes about 40 minutes. Uber's are also fairly inexpensive and very easy to catch from Lisbon.
You can also take a private transfer, Uber or taxi.
When should I book my flight?
We recommend booking around the November timeline for favorable rates but feel free to go with what is best for you.
Do I need a visa to travel to Portugal?
No. Important note: For US passport holders, please make sure your passport is up to date for travel. If your passport expires within six months of the travel date, you may not be able to travel. Given the turnaround time for passports, we highly encourage to renew or apply for a passport as soon as possible.
When should I fly in?
If possible, we recommend flying in the day before the welcome party so you're relaxed and free of any jet lag! However, do note the Welcome Party and Excursion day are optional so you can choose not to attend if you have a scheduling conflict.
When should I fly out?
Whatever works best for your schedule and plans! If you are able to join us for the Excursion day (April 28th), we recommend the day after to make sure you are not in a rush to get to the airport.
