Join us at The Agneta for warmup dinner & drinks on Friday night!

This Dutch windmill was built in 1851 and is still operational today as a wood saw and flour mill. Doesn't get much Dutcher than this! :)

PS: There may or may not be karaoke too. Whoop!

Today we're tying the knot!

The wedding ceremony, dinner and party will all take place in and around Ruurlo Castle. 

The Castle

The castle and the estate dates back all the way to the 14th century. From the 1980s onwards, the castle functioned as city hall, until Ruurlo merged with a few other towns in the area and the castle lost its function. Between 2013 and 2017, the castle underwent rigorous renovations to restore it to its original grandeur. In 2017 the castle was re-opened to the public as a museum.


If you would like to see the castle, you are welcome to do so before the ceremony starts at 3pm. Refer to Breedveld/Malmström at the entrance and you'll get access to the museum.

Ceremony & Toast

The ceremony will take place in the Wedding Hall of Ruurlo Castle at 3:00PM, followed by a toast.

We have something special in store for you here, so for those of you wearing heels, please bring an extra pair of comfortable shoes!

Dinner & Dancing

Dinner starts at 6:00PM in the Oranjerie, which is right outside of the castle, on the same estate.

After dinner we'll dance the night away in the Oranjerie as well.

Why Ruurlo?

We are tying the knot in the picturesque town of Ruurlo, The Netherlands. The town where Yvet's maternal grandparents live, her paternal grandparents spent their lives, her father was born and her mother was raised. Suffices to say there's some heritage there!

Planes

Ruurlo is conveniently located between Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, Eindhoven Airport and Düsseldorf Airport, so take your pick! It's about 1.5 hours by car from each airport to Ruurlo.

Trains

Ruurlo does have a train station, but it's not very well connected... Be ready for multiple changes and potential waiting times when choosing this mode of transport!

Automobiles

Ruurlo can easily be reached by car, parking space is widely available and usually free of charge.

Hotel Avenarius Ruurlo

Hotel Avenarius has been hosting guests of Ruurlo Castle since 1874. It is ideally situated for our wedding with walking distance to all events, so we have asked them to hold all rooms for our wedding weekend :)

The room rate is 135€/night, including breakfast. There is one 4 bedroom apartment available at the hotel for maximum 10 people, which costs 400€/night, including breakfast.

Please book your room latest by May 1st by emailing receptie@avenarius.nl. On May 1st the rooms will be available for the public to book. Please refer to Breedveld/Malmström's wedding when making the booking to get the discounted rated.
