Natalie and Mark A
Early November 2011, Mark A and I were hired at Best Buy in Bristol. We both worked in the same department, and during the holiday rush we spent TONS of time working together. I guess you could say Mark A was in love from the moment we met. For over a year, he fought for my attention and affection. We always had chemistry, but being in relationships we worked hard to fight it off.
Finally on November 29th, 2012 , at a going away party for a co-worker, Mark A confessed his feelings. From that moment we realized that we couldn't continue to fight these feelings for each other, and from there it was history! Things quickly became serious, and we just knew that what we had was "right".
In March, I went home to Brentwood for the weekend. That Friday night while I was at a Predators game with friends, Mark A was at my house asking my parents for permission to propose! That next morning, my mother tricked me into getting up and going to the farmers market with her. As soon as I was ready the doorbell rang. When I opened the door, it was Mark A with flowers! I was completely flabbergasted! He said we had somewhere we needed to be. Being very secretive about his plans, he drove us to an office building in the middle of Brentwood. When we walked in, my mouth dropped. In front of me, was a counter full of engagement rings! We spent the next hour picking out my custom engagement ring setting!
Ever since we started dating, Mark A was adamant about taking a trip to the Biltmore. Of course never having been, I was all for it. So the first week of April we planned for a trip to Asheville! Unknowing to me, Mark A was planning to propose that very weekend. Sunday morning we drove up the estate and I was completely oblivious to his agenda. I was distracted taking pictures of the house and the grounds when he grabbed my hand and took me to the fountain directly in front of the Biltmore. He asked if I knew I was ready for that higher level of commitment and when I assured him I was, he got down on one knee and proposed. Being the amazing guy he is, he hired a photographer to capture the whole thing! :)
