Andrew & Alexis

We first met in Oakland right at the beginning of the world shutting down due to the pandemic. We both lived in the same apartment complex, on the same floor, and facing the same courtyard. Our courtyard was unique because the only way to access it was if your apartment was on the third floor, had a private walk-out patio, and if your patio opened into this courtyard. Also, everyone had dogs. With nothing to do and no more shows to binge-watch, the residents of this courtyard started to open up our patios, drink with each other and let the pups roam free. This quickly became a weekend routine to which Jada and Lucy quickly befriended each other, ultimately introducing us to each other.

Our lives blended together so perfectly together we didn't even notice when it happened. Our routine started as finishing the work day, working out, eating dinner, some down time and then we would hang out and drink. That quickly evolved to staying the night after drinking, which quickly evolved into working out, dinner and then drinking. Next thing you know we had fallen into a routine and Andrew's apartment had become solely an office. We started traveling a lot together and introducing each other to our families and friends. We were both pleasantly surprised how easily everyone accepted each other and acted as if they had known each other for years. Everything about our relationship just happened so smoothly and naturally. We had become more than just lovers, we had become best friends.

Our move to Arizona is one of the best decisions we have made. We had previously visited together and had an amazing time. We fell in love with the scenery, weather, drinks and most of all the food! We wanted to make the most of our money, build a better future and grow our family. Neither one of us really cared about having kids until we met each other. We knew we would make great parents and decided to give it a try! Our little Amelia Alexis Wenker is currently set to be born in July of 2022! ♥

Andrews immediate family is scattered across the globe and it had been a while since the family was reunited. We planned a trip to Kauai, Hawaii and did a ton of fun activities! Little did we know, Andrew had something much bigger in mind. Early on within our trip, we planned a kayaking trip down the Hanalei River. We are both very active and pretty far ahead of everyone else. Andrew wanted to give everyone time to catch up and take the lead, so we just laid back and enjoyed the beautiful scenery. Andrew decided to take this moment to pop the question! It was very romantic, luckily he didn't drop the ring in the river.

With the birth of our beautiful little girl, our family became complete. Amelia Alexis Wenker was born on 7/14/2022. She measured at 19inches in length and weighed 7lbs 2oz.
