We are conveniently accessible by three airports: Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA), Dulles International Airport (IAD), and Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI).

We strongly recommend flying into Reagan, which is located 3 miles or less from all recommended hotels! The Crystal Gateway Marriott offers a free shuttle from the Airport to their hotel. You may also take the metro from DCA straight to the Pentagon City Stop (Ritz Hotel) or Crystal City Stop (Crystal Gateway Marriott). 

BWI is accessible by the MARC train (1 hour) and IAD is accessible by Uber/Lyft (1 hour).

Near the Hotel: Pack a picnic and head to the Airforce Memorial (20min walk/5min uber ride from Ritz Carlton) or National Mall in DC (Metro is recommended) on the 4th of July to watch the fireworks in DC! DC EVENTS: 

A Capitol Fourth Concert (July 4, 2022)
This free annual concert is held on the west lawn of the United States Capitol Building featuring military bands, classical music orchestras, and celebrity pop and rock artists. This colorful mix of genres ends with spectacular fireworks over the capital's famous monuments.
Independence Day Parade (Juy 4, 2022)

4th of July Parade can be observed along Constitution Avenue between 7th and 17th streets. Fife and drum corps, acting military servicemen and women, colorful floats and much entertainment starts at 11:45 am.

July 4th Fireworks on the National Mall (July 4, 2022)
Fireworks are one of the greatest things about Independence Day celebrations, and they can be observed from several spots. You can watch them on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, from the National Mall, or from another side of the Potomac River in Arlington. The fireworks show is quite long and usually starts at 9 pm.

Independence Day at Mount Vernon (July 4, 2022)
If you are a history fan, 4th of July is a good occasion to visit George Washington’s Mount Vernon estate, which is located about 30 minutes drive from the city. Here you can immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the Founding Fathers' time as well as listen to Revolutionary War music and try Colonial-style ice cream. There is also a special daytime 4th of July fireworks display.
