Tyler & Caitie
First comes a right swipe...then comes the first date. After meeting online and making sure we had all the necessary things in common - family, friends, sports, dive bars, and music - we went on our first date, quickly followed by our second and third within a week.
Next comes Munchy! After dating for half a year Caitie met her second true love, Aiden. Aiden dubbed Caitie "Cat" and after buttering him up with chocolate cake pops and french fries the munchkin (aka Munchy) and Cat became best friends.
Then comes a happy home...In April of 2018 the three of us found the best apartment in Astoria, Queens and have since made it a Lego haven, football central, Santa's first stop, surrounded by Saturday snuggles and more love & laughter than we could have imagined.
And now comes forever!
Chelsea is one of Caitie's younger sisters, one of her best friends and all-around amazing (dog-loving) human. Always ready with a witty oneliner, she loves a good theme and you can't miss her infectious laugh. Chelsea lives in Boise and even though we are miles apart we have never been closer. Chelsea’s ability to always see the silver lining motivates us (accountabilibuddies) and I can’t imagine my life or our wedding without her. Plus, her knowledge of all Aiden’s favorite “rock n roll” songs will keep them both on the dance floor all night!
Cassidy is Caitie’s youngest sister and again, one of her very best friends. Cassidy’s ability to make Caitie cry laugh is only rivaled by Tyler and Aiden. Cassidy is in Denver and while we all try to see each other as much as possible, FaceTiming with a glass of wine and a Bravo show has become so important to Caitie. Cass was the first person Caitie told about Tyler after their first date and she has been on board since the first time Aiden called her by Caitie’s nickname for her, Cici. We are so grateful for Cassidy’s huge heart, incredible love and support for our family and can’t picture getting married without her standing by my side.
Caitie and Melissa first met back home in California and quickly bonded over their shared love of books and a good night out! Once Caitie moved to New York Melissa was the only person she knew in the Big Apple and the two spent the next 5 years exploring the city (double-decker buses and all.) Melissa, or Auntie as Aiden calls her, has been a staple in Caitie's life ever since. We love Mel for her huge heart, her sense of humor that mirrors Caitie's and her ability to find the best piano bars!
Tyler and Darick’s friendship can be traced back all the way to the first day of Kindergarten when they met playing with blocks. Little did they know that that first day of school would turn years of playing on the same sports teams, countless hours spent “cruising” around in their cars together, last-second camping trips, and ultimately, 28 years of friendship and counting.
Mike and Tyler haven’t known each other for long, but after seeing how important Mike was to Caitie, it was clear he would be equally as important to him. We are so glad to have Mike, also known as Mikey to the family, standing with us on this special day. You’re the man, Mikey!
