When I met Tom, he was a bachelor living that bachelor life who's only concern was what he was going to eat the next day. I was at a friend's house party when I first laid eyes on this tall, dark, and handsome guy (which by the way, checked everything off my list, if you get past the spikey fohawk) I knew I had to get to know this guy, so with some liquid courage I decided to mingle with the crowd but my focus was on Tom. I thought he was cute but I quickly learned, I had to take the lead. For those of you who know Tom, he is a man of few words. But I didn't give up. I laughed at all his lame jokes, patiently listened to his odd obsession with Superman, the next thing you know we instantly clicked and he messaged me on Facebook the next day.
We lost touch for a while and eventually re connected later that summer. My friends decided to instigate so they called Tom and his friends to come over because "a special someone is here waiting for him". (Tom will say otherwise, but this is the truth) I was so embarrassed that night, I literally didn't say a word to him. Fast forward, he finally asks me out on a date and the rest is history! The day he asked me to marry him was one of the best days of my life and the easiest question I’ve ever had to answer. I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with my bestie for the restie!

I first met Steffi at our friend Selby Jose's party. She caught my eye but if I'm being honest those were the days I cared more about getting next in beer pong and hanging out with my boys. In fact, later that night when we were at the bar one of my friends actually wanted to try to talk to her. He already knew her from before and had talked to her here and there throughout the night but couldn't really get a good read from her. Being the amazing wingman that I am I offered to try and see what I could do to help. I approached her for the first time and we started talking about random things and people we knew. Now for those of you who know her you'll understand that this is just who Steffi is but I noticed right away she was really giggly and threw out the words "Oh my God!" practically every other sentence. I steered the conversation towards my friend at one point and she quickly shut that down but instead asked me, "So what about youuu?" I'm not gonna lie I froze for a second there. I told her I was single and then made an excuse to get away, to tell my friend what had happened. Luckily for both me and her he didn't mind at all and already had his next target in sight haha.
The next time I ran into Steffi was later that summer. I was out with my friends again when I guess her friends saw one our snapchats and realized we were all out in the same area that night. Her friend Selby called my friend Selby (very confusing I know) to tell us to come back to her place for an afterparty. Before she hung up though she asked specifically if I was out with them. If I remember right my Selby said "Yeah he is, but we can ditch him if you want us to!" -_- Instead she said "No! Good! Make sure you bring him! There's someone here waiting for him!" All we could think was wow these girls are forward. I would later find out none of that was Steffi's doing but instead just her friends instigating (or so she says). I got there not really knowing what to expect but what I got was a very shy and completely quiet girl, I'm talking practically mute, completely different from the Steffi I first met and the one all of you know. I could ramble on for another 5 paragraphs detailing our whole story for everyone but even as I'm writing this I can hear Steffi in my head saying "Oh my God! Yours is so much longer than mine! Why are you putting all this!" So instead I'll just finish off by saying we had a beginning that I, and now probably all of you, will never forget and I can't wait to make many more lasting memories with her.
