From Tavenoh's Point of View:
We met at Adventure Island on Memorial day in 1999.
Tiara was 16 y/o and I was 18 y/o. Tiara was with some of her friends and I was with some of mine. At some point during the day Tiara's crew ended up linking up with my crew in the wave pool because people from both crews knew each other. I seen Tiara wearing a purple 2 piece and I had to make a move to get to know her but she was not having it. After several attempts of trying to take a picture with her she finally agreed but made it clear not to wrap my arms around her as if we were a couple.
A few months later I seen her at the park with her cousin which happened to be my 19th birthday. This time I couldn't let her get away. As we were talking I told her to look up at the stars only to catch her off guard and I kissed her on her cheek. After that I asked her to be my girlfriend and she said yes. Tiara has had my heart ever since.
From Tiara's Point of View:
Tavenoh proposed to me on his 38th birthday during his birthday dinner at Ruth Chris. He invited his close friends and family. He even invited my close friends and family that we are around regularly to keep the suspicions low. The night went on normal, lots of laughs and conversations from both sides of the table. Then out of nowhere he stood up and tapped the champagne glass with a fork. He was thanking everyone for coming out to his very first birthday dinner and he told them how much it meant to him.
Then he went on to say “For those of you that don’t know I asked this girl right here to be my girlfriend on my 19th birthday and she said yes. One of the best things that I ever got. So today on my 38th birthday it’s only right that I...”
He stood back, I seen his hand go in his pocket, everyone started screaming and I finally realized what was going on OMG!!!
He got down on one knee and looked me in the eyes and said “Tiara will you be my Wife?” I started shaking uncontrollably with excitement! I kept covering my face, smiling, and crying couldn’t believe that “IT” was really happening.
And I said YES!
