Is there a dress code?
Our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire. As much as we love athleisure, we will have to put on real clothes too. We trust our guests to show up looking fabulous, but feeling comfortable!
Will the ceremony and reception be held inside or outside?
The ceremony will be held outside (weather permitting). The reception will be held inside and outside throughout the evening. There will be several outdoor spaces to mingle, dance, and take advantage of selfies on the water!
Are my kids invited?
We request that you leave your young ones at home. We are only able to extend our invitation to the children of close family. However, if you are traveling with your children to our wedding, we can help you coordinate childcare during the event.
Can I bring a date?
In order to keep our guest list on track we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. Please feel free to e-mail us with any questions!
When will I receive the invitation and RSVP details?
We plan to send the invitations via email around June 2021. However, if you know you cannot make it, please let us know for planning purposes. We understand that COVID-19 and several weddings from 2020 have been re-scheduled for 2021, which may make it difficult to attend our wedding.
Is a car needed to get around Baltimore?
If you are staying in our recommended places to stay, you will not need a rental car for our wedding weekend. Other than taking an Uber or Lyft from/to the BWI Airport, you will be able to walk, take a water taxi, or a short lyft/uber to all our wedding events and fun spots in Baltimore! If you are feeling extra cray, jump on the many scooters!
What is the deadline for booking a room in the Hilton Canopy wedding block?
August 23, 2021 or when the rooms are booked, whichever comes first.
Will transportation be provided to and from the wedding venue?
No, the wedding venue is walking distance from all our recommended places to stay.
Does the venue offer parking?
There is a large parking lot next to the venue that you can pay to park at if you decide to drive to our wedding.
Will you encourage social distancing and will we be able to dance?
We have our fingers and toes crossed that dancing will be allowed at our wedding! We will be keeping a close eye on the current restrictions, and will update this section of the FAQs as we get closer to the wedding day.
Do we need to wear a mask?
While it’s not a requirement for our wedding, we completely understand and respect any guests who may wish to wear a mask on the day.
How will changes be communicated if something changes?
Rest assured we will keep you in the loop regarding any important changes with an email alert. This is the reason why we went with an electronic platform for our wedding invitations. In the unfortunate event that we have to makes changes to, or postpone our special day, we will also reach out to all guests so they are aware as soon as possible.
