Meet Sabrina, the maid of honour and Kayla's longest friendship. Their friendship began in the first year of college, when Sabrina asked Kayla if the seat beside her was taken - they have been fast friends ever since. Sabrina is entertaining, playfully loud and unapologetically herself, which is what Kayla loves the most about her. Over the years Kayla and Sabrina have worked at multiple places together in the bar industry and took a 6-week backpacking trip to Thailand and Bali. To this day they enjoy lunch dates, going on weekend trips to Toronto and are now both fur moms, often having playdates by the pool.
How did Claudia and Kayla become friends? Who knows... still a mystery to us ;) Claudia is a thoughtful, patient and truehearted friend, although her texting back skills could use some work. Claudia is the type of friend you would want on your side, a "ride or die" that will defend you until the bitter end. Kayla and Claudia enjoy ranting about reality TV, dinner dates and spending time relaxing by the pool - often seen as a trio with Sabrina.
Krysta is the sister of the bride. Krysta and Kayla fought often as kids - probably had something to do with sharing a room. Looking at the two sisters, you may not know they are related. They differ both in personality and in appearance but as they grew older, they began to love the traits that made them so different from one another. Kayla cherishes their deep bond and one would very quickly realize that Krysta is the sweetest sister a girl could ask for, often giving Kayla words of encouragement or compliments.
Haley and Kayla have always known of each other but their friendship started while working together at a bar during Covid. Haley has a hard shell to crack, but once you are her friend you will realize how everyone needs a friend like her. Haley has a dry witty humour with outstanding come-backs. She is true to her word and always thinks about the mental well-being of those she loves. Moriel and Kayla met while working together at a bar. Over the years they have spent many festivals and trips together, more recently a trip to Spain. Moriel is an extremely thoughtful friend with a strong personality - must be the Russian in her. Moriel is the type of friend to NEVER miss a special occasion or will send a friend Uber Eats when they are going through a rough time. Although Moriel moved to Toronto, their friendship did not skip a beat. Moriel and Kayla often Facetime to catch up on each other's lives and plan trips to visit one another.
Meet Chad, or as we affectionately call him, Jimmy – the man of honour and my partner in crime. Our friendship didn't exactly start on the friendliest note back in high school, but when you mix two of the loudest goofballs in one classroom, magic happens. From traveling across Europe to tackling the football field together, Chad and I have become inseparable. We are so close that we've even convinced people we are long-lost relatives. Chad is the embodiment of loyalty, compassion, and humor. I couldn't have asked for a better wingman to stand by my side on this special day.
While I haven't known Harb for as long as some of the others, it feels like we've been friends since high school.
