Where is the wedding + reception located? What time is it?

First and foremost, your favorite tab on this website is going to be the events tab. If you download the app, it will be super easy to navigate the itinerary for our time together in Cabo.

Specifically, the wedding + reception information is already on that tab! The wedding will be on Friday, (3/17/2023) at Acre Baja Resort. Guests are requested to arrive by 4:30PM with ceremony start time at 5:00PM. The entire event (ceremony + cocktail hour + reception) will conclude at 10:30PM.

When should I arrive in Los Cabos? When should I leave?

We arrive on Wednesday (3/15/2023). You may arrive at any time you like before your required date! We want our family and friends to experience this week as a vacation for themselves! One that recharges your soul, rekindles your love, and strengthens your friendships.

If you are family or in the wedding party, your presence is requested NLT 4PM Wednesday evening (3/15/2023). If you are attending the wedding, your presence is requested NLT 4PM Thursday (3/16/2023). You may choose to leave on Saturday or any day you wish after that. As newlyweds, we will say our official goodbyes to at the conclusion of the wedding.

What is the best way to book my trip?

We do not have a travel agent. You may book your flight into Los Cabos International Airport (SJD). On the "Travel Info" tab, you will find instructions for how to book your stay at Cabo Azul via a google doc link. Yet, we do not care if you choose to stay at a different resort or in an airbnb. Just please bear in mind that transportation will only be provided for wedding events from Cabo Azul.

When should I book my flight or accomodations?

Our wedding celebration will be during one of the busiest travel seasons of the year - spring break! With that said, flights from Dallas, TX specifically are expected to cost between $500 and $750 round trip depending on when they are booked. This cost is not expected to decrease due to the time of year. We encourage you to book flights as soon as you are confident in your desired travel schedule.

What should I wear to the wedding?

The dress code will be resort style semi-formal/cocktail attire. We request that nobody wear dark colors such as black.  Please keep the color palette light in taste and upscale vacation "resort style". Ladies, we request that you do not wear casual flip flops during the ceremony, but a nice sandal is acceptable.

Should I bring a gift?

Please do not bring a gift! Should you like to provide congratulatory support in the form of a gift for our wedding celebration, please head over to the tab called "Honeyfund to Greece" where you may donate to our honeymoon vacation in the summer of 2023. Your contributions are so appreciated.

What if I run into travel problems?

We will update this Q&A with contact information of our wedding planner at a later date.

What is the weather like in Cabo in March

March is very dry with comfortable warm temperatures. Normally, around 6am the weather is in the mid to high 60s, by 12pm it is in the mid to high 70s, and by 8pm will drop back to the low 70s or high 60s. There is potential to jump to the 80s during the day. We encourage you to dress in spring/summer attire, and bring a light sweater for the evening or early mornings. Most people think Cabo is hot, humid, and muggy like the Carribbean parts of Mexico, but it is actually much more pleasant.

Are children allowed?

This was a tough decision as we have wonderful children in our lives that we would love to be a part of our celebration. We know many of our guests are parents too. Yet, we envisioned for ourselves a weekend where all of our guests can kick back and focus on their adult needs. Therefore, we request that no children attend any events. Now, we also understand that some parents are not comfortable traveling without their children. We encourage you to consider other alternatives such as bringing a nanny or family member to help care for the child while you are celebrating with us. This would allow you to have a family trip with portions of it dedicated to "mommy and daddy" time. Should you choose to travel with your family, we encourage you to definitely stay at Cabo Azul resort as the suites are a very comfortable setup for families.

I am traveling solo. Are there other people I can coordinate travel or rooming with?

Yes! If you are traveling solo just reach out to us and we can recommend who to coordinate with based on who you know that is attending. This is a small wedding guest count, so you likely know someone attending and can collaborate with them on rooming together or syncing travel times. Again, Cabo Azul has very large apartment resort style suites. Their living room couches also pull out to a queen memory foam bed. If you are comfortable with this sleeping arrangement, maybe it is a way to help reduce room costs for groups!

Can I bring a plus one?

Please, contact us in advance if you desire a plus one. Cabo wedding venues are very strict on the numbers, and their wedding contracts are unique! If you do not have an identified plus one on your save the date or wedding invite, then we did not include one in the guest calculations for you. Therefore, we cannot guarantee your request can be accommodated. Trust me though, there are plenty of our friends traveling alone to the event. The wedding guest count is also small! This will be a perfect opportunity to meet new people. We are all very welcoming and friendly.

Covid 19 Requirements - Travel to Los Cabos

Mexico does not presently require a negative Covid 19 test, Covid 19 insurance, or a vaccination.

The only requirement for entry into Mexico is that you show a passport, fill out the official entry form, and fill out the customs declaration form. Majority of airlines provide these documents at the airport or on the aircraft. Confirm with your airline before check-in.

Covid 19 Requirements - Return to the US

The US does not currently require a test or proof of vaccination upon return. Should these requirements change, we will update this information.

Do I need to exchange my US dollars for Pesos in Los Cabos

Los Cabos is a very popular US travel destination. Majority of major hotels, restaurants, and bars will accept American dollars and most major debit/credit cards. You may exchange, but it is likely not needed.

We do however recommend you travel with small bills instead of large bills. This will make tipping and bartering prices easier. Further, some credit cards might have major international fees.

What are my transportation options?

For the airport specifically - we recommend booking https://caboairportshuttle.net/cabo-azul/

Uber is not allowed to pick you up at the airport. Uber is allowed everywhere else.

For day to day transportation you may rent a car, grab an Uber, or arrange a taxi with the hotel. All three of these transportation options are considered safe and highly used in Los Cabos. For uber, you have to walk out of the resort gate (about 50 yards) to hop in the car.

Keep in mind most wedding party ONLY events will have transportation provided. All other events will be walking distance from Cabo Azul (resort).

Will we be around a lot of spring breakers?

For those that have never been to Los Cabos, there are actually two ends of Los Cabos. One end is San Jose del Cabo and one end is Cabo San Lucas. These two areas are separated by 30 miles (or a 30 minute drive).

San Jose del Cabo is the end the airport is located on. It is also the end where our wedding venue (Acre) and hotel accommodations (Cabo Azul) are located. This end is considered slower, quieter, and more relaxing.

Cabo San Lucas end is known as the party strip. It is located about 30 mins from San Jose del Cabo. It is where majority of spring breakers, and those looking for a rowdy time will be. We intend to explore this part of Los Cabos earlier in the week for sure just to check out the fun.

How does cell phone usage / communication work in Cabo

If you have ATT, you should automatically switch to the ATT MX unlimited talk, text, data (if your plan does not restrict international). For T-Mobile, there is also MX talk, text, and data support. Signal for these and most carriers is strong in MX.

If you have an iPhone, imessage will be usable with wifi connection. Cabo Azul has wifi and many major restaurants will have wifi available for your use.

For the wedding party specifically, we are using regular imessage for all communications via wifi/data.
