It all started out as a high school crush when Alex called out to me in a busy hallway saying "Hey blondie!" He walked me to my class and we hit it off! Our high school romance was short lived when my brother threatened Alex lol (and he listened). A few years went by as we went different directions but fate has a funny way of working. I was driving home one night coming around a bend when I passed Alex driving the opposite direction. He recognized my truck and texted me asking if that was me that almost ran him off the road lol (he was exaggerating). And the rest was history!

I knew I was in love with Samantha the first time we went to see the sunset at Cedar beach. We sat there and talked for hours well past the sunset into the night. Just from that conversation, I could see how well we connected and I knew she would be my best friend for the rest of my life!

We went to Cancun, Mexico for the first of many vacations. We love a good adventure so we explored some of the town, saw the Mayan ruins, and went ATV riding that led to a refreshing cenote. We also went parasailing where Alex put his fear of heights to the test and it's safe to say he won't be parasailing again! lol

Anyone that knows us, knows that our dogs Zoey and Ollie are our children. The tattoo Alex got of their portraits is proof of just how much he loves them. We have spent countless hours on walks, roaming around the farm, and bringing them for car ride adventures (that usually end in ice cream) together as a family.

After 8 amazing years together, I knew it was time for us to move forward to the next step. On our anniversary I told Sam we were going for drinks for my mothers birthday at a private vineyard in St.James. Little did Sam know, both of our mothers and my grandmother were at the vineyard setting everything up for the perfect surprise proposal. We walked out to the back patio area where I had an outdoor igloo set up with lights and a neon “will you marry me?” sign. I got down on one knee and asked my best friend to marry me. Her answer made me the happiest man alive!
