Questions
I’m traveling from out of town. Where should I stay?
Please click 'La Jolla' at the top and then 'Accommodations' in the left side menu to explore our recommendations.
What should I wear to the Welcome Party?
Eddie V’s enforces a dress code: "To promote a family friendly and welcoming atmosphere for everyone, we consider gym attire, sweatpants, hats, clothing with offensive languages or images, and exposed undergarments too casual for our restaurants.". Therefore, we request that if you choose to attend welcome drinks, you come in cocktail attire. We strongly recommend bringing a light jacket as this event will be outdoors on a rooftop into the evening hours.
Should I eat dinner before/after the Welcome Party?
We will be serving dinner at the Welcome Party in a cocktail hour style. Dinner will be served as heavy hors d'oeuvres, appetizers, and food stations. You are welcome to dine before or after our event, but know that you will be fed well at our event. We are also happy to host a full open bar for all our guests.
What should I wear on the wedding day?
Requested attire for our wedding day is Black Tie Optional. Suggested attire for gentlemen is a tuxedo or dark suit (jacket and tie required). Suggested attire for ladies is floor-length dresses. If you are a member of our military, we welcome you to attend dressed in uniform.
Are kids invited to the wedding?
While we truly love the presence and energy of children, we have decided to host an adults-only affair. We greatly appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time!
When is the deadline to RSVP?
We kindly ask that you inform us if you're attending our wedding weekend by Saturday, August 5, 2023. You can do this by sending your RSVP card in the mail or on this website under the 'RSVP' tab above!
My RSVP card indicates that you have reserved # of seats for me, but there are more people in my family/party. What should I do?
We would love to have all your loved ones celebrate this special day with us, however, our venues have limited capacities. We kindly request that only those we have indicated on the invitations attend and appreciate your understanding.
Do I need transportation to/from the ceremony and/or reception?
We recommend that our guests utilize a ride share to transport yourself to our ceremony. If you are staying in the downtown La Jolla, the church will most likely be walking distance. If you prefer to drive yourself there is street parking available at both sites. Kindly note that these spots may be subject to a time limit.
While our ceremony and reception sites are a five-minute walking distance from each other, we are happy to provide transportation for our guests to our reception site. Pick-up will follow shortly after the conclusion of the ceremony.
Can I post on my social media account(s)?
Absolutely! In fact, we encourage all our guests to share our day on your social media platforms! However, there is a strict no phones/media devices during our ceremony. Other than that, share and tag away!
Are you taking any health/safety precautions related to COVID?
We are not requiring anyone to wear a mask nor show proof of vaccination. Additionally, we will not be requiring any guest to social distance. Please understand that if you choose to attend our event, you are doing so at your own risk. Our welcome party will be an outdoor event. Our wedding day will both be indoors and outdoors. All events will have up to 200 guests attending. We completely understand and empathize if you feel more comfortable declining to attend our wedding weekend.
