December 16, 2017, marks the day we first met on a trip to Tijuana, where we delivered Christmas gifts to an orphanage through an organization called Dancer Giving Back (DGB).
It’s said that Rudy was drawn to my curly hair from the very first moment, and from that day forward, there was an undeniable connection.

February 15, 2018, marked our first date. Rudy took me to a hole-in-the-wall, local Honduran restaurant, aiming to impress me and demonstrate his knowledge of Honduran cuisine. At the time, I remember thinking to myself, “This might not work” but by the end of March, we made it official and began dating exclusively.

Un 15 de Febrero del 2018 fue nuestra primera cita. Exactamente 2 meses y 2 dias de avernos conocido por primera vez. En todo este entorno, solamente éramos amigos… (historia interior) para esta primer cita, Rudy me llevó a un restaurante hondureño de mala muerde Para "impresionarme" y demostrar que sabía sobre la comida hondureña. Pero en mi mente, me estaba diciendo a mí mismo: "esto no va a funcionar" jajaja
Once we found so many similarities, same birthday month (1 week apart) our sons same age, they both played soccer through their whole growing life, and same life goals etc etc, we made our relationship official as boyfriend and girlfriend.

Una vez que encontramos tantas similitudes, el mismo mes de cumpleaños (1 semana de diferencia) nuestros hijos de la misma edad, ambos jugaron al fútbol durante toda su creciente vida, y los mismos objetivos de vida, etc., hicimos oficial nuestra relación como novio y novia.
For our one-year anniversary and birthday trip, we chose to visit Roatán, where we fell in love with the island. It’s one of the many reasons we decided to celebrate our wedding here.
Para nuestro primer aniversario y viaje de cumpleaños decidimos ir a Roatán, donde nos sentimos enamorados de esta isla y es una de las muchas razones por las que decidimos celebrar nuestra boda aquí.
Where to begin? This moment was completely unexpected. Those who know Rudy well understand that he is a shy, quiet person and tends to be more introverted. So, when he proposed in front of our close family and friends and got down on one knee, it was truly a surprise.

Life is too short not to embrace every opportunity to dance. Through the bachata and salsa communities, we’ve met incredible people and formed lasting friendships. Our goal for the wedding is to offer our guests a memorable experience while visiting Roatán.
