I got to know the love of my life while doing my masters program. Dayo and I met through a mutual friend - Bunmi. We became good friends and realized we share lots of things in common- our faith, value system, etc. Our relationship was always very different and divine. I had never thought or imagined something beautiful coming out of our friendship. All my ideologies, thoughts about how I will meet the special guy were nullified. I learnt more on submission to God's will on this matter. We had our ups and down but they made us stronger and love each other more.
He proposed one special evening on August 25, 2018 after RCCG Western Canada olympics, which he participated and emerged as one of the winners. He got down on his knees and asked me to marry him and I said a big YES to him. He is simply amazing!

I met my love during her masters program through a mutual friend (Bunmi). I was single but I didn’t know Taiwo’s status. After a while, I got to know that Taiwo was single too but we were not so close. We talked often about faith, career, desires and aspirations. I got to know her person, her love for God, her mindset and outlook to life. After a while, I desired more than friendship and she agreed to go on this beautiful journey with me.
I had stylishly gotten her ring size by asking her to wear my engineering ring several times, with the mind of proposing at her next visit to Edmonton. I proposed on August 25 and while awaiting her response, she said "you are so amazing, I can't say no to you right?"
