It all started on MySpace...

REALLY. It all started when Lalo (it's short for Eduardo) sent Stephanie a MySpace friend request (it wasn't THAT creepy; they had a lot of mutual friends in common).  He then messaged her and sparked up a conversation.  He doesn't remember what he said but clearly it worked; Stephanie replied and they sent each other messages back and forth for months to come, but unfortunately (or fortunately???) nothing ever originated from it.  Despite the apparent attraction between them, they simply remained friends for years to come...

12 years exactly.

2019

The year where it all took off.  Through out the years, and up to 2019, Stephanie and Lalo remained friends.  They would reconnect and catch up on life, but little did they know what was eventually bound to happen.

One Friday evening, Stephanie decided to ditch her friends (sorry friends) and messaged Lalo on Snapchat.  She asked him what his plans were and if he was up to grab a drink.  Lalo jumped out of bed, showered and immediately said yes.  He was excited to finally have that over due date with Stephanie.  So, over a modelo and moscow mule, Stephanie and Lalo talked non-stop for 4 hours +.  & this, my friends, was really the beginning of everything.

Nala

There can't be a wedding website without Nala.

Eventually, Lalo asked Stephanie to be his girlfriend.  Things seemed to progress quickly due to their long friendship.  One day, Stephanie was scrolling Snapchat when one of her best friends posted a 12 week old puppy that was looking for a new home.  Immediately, Stephanie and Lalo pondered whether this was a good move or not (spoiler: it was).  They also knew that if they got this puppy, it would take their relationship to the next level (spoiler: it did).

They knew that Nala would add a lot of joy to their lives, but also a lot of reality checks.  So they rescued her.

This was the beginning of their little family.

Lalo knew that he wanted to marry Stephanie after their first official date, but didn't propose until the end of 2020; yep, the year of the rona.  Apparently, he really wanted to make it memorable.  As you know, they planned for a wedding in January of 2021.

However, due to the pandemic and other unforeseen events, they had to postpone their wedding a year. & now, here we are... now, here YOU are, in 2022 reading about their love story, contemplating if going to the wedding will be worth it, hm...let me tell you, if you knew the ENTIRE story, everything that needed to occur for Stephanie and Lalo to be together, you would not want to miss this celebration of love.

We hope to see you there. <3
