Andy and I got officially married on February 1st of this year, in a very small and informal ceremony. We would like to celebrate our marriage with family and friends on August 2nd, 2014, by hosting a pick-up frisbee tournament! This is pretty non-traditional, but it suits us perfectly.

We'll be gathering at Bryn Mawr park for a little pick-up frisbee tournament, frolfing, and general socializing.

Please RSVP to indicate whether you'd be interested in being assigned to a team and playing multiple frisbee games, if you'd like to sub in occasionally but do not want to commit to playing on an actual team for multiple games, or if you'd prefer to simply socialize and frolf.

We'll be using the RSVP information to determine whether we have enough folks to pre-form actual teams and set a round robin type game schedule. If we don't have enough RSVPs to determine this in advance, then we'll just play a couple games of pure pick-up.

Bring your favorite dark and light - we'll play rain or shine with the standard Ultimate caveat: if there's lightning, then the event is cancelled.

Wedding themed costuming is encouraged.

If you have any difficulty finding us, please let Meg know at 612.518.2615 and we'll make sure you're directed to the right place. Please note that if you registered for Car 2 Go, you can use that service to get to the fields on Saturday!

Locals: We are providing free parking for our reception, in the ramp indicated on the attached map. You will be able to pick up your parking voucher at the reception.

ps. cars may be left in the ramp overnight if you find yourself in need of opting for a taxi.

Take a chance: if you'd like to see Meg and Andy make out, please refrain from clinking glasses. Instead, step up and take your chance, but be prepared to accept the consequences. More details will be provided at the reception.

Please find your name tag and choose a table - seating is not assigned. Make sure to pick up a parking voucher as well, if you parked in the ramp.

Timeline:

6:00 pm - guests begin arriving at Vic's, hosted beverages available
6:15 to 7:00 pm - appetizers available
7:00 to 8:55 pm - seated dinner, dessert
9:00 pm to 12 am - dancing

Other info:

Appetizers found on the high top cocktail tables include: artisan cheese platter, fruit platter, vegan eggplant dip with vegan pita.

Butler passed appetizers include: crab cakes, tenderloin asparagus phyllo.

Chips & guac will be served at 11 pm.

We are hosting an open bar up to a pre-set dollar amount, after which we will transition to a cash bar.

Water, hot tea and iced tea will be available throughout the event. Soda will not be provided - you can pay cash for soda if you so choose (don't choose! it's so unhealthy...). Unlimited free coffee will be served starting with dessert.

Sterling Vinyard Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir will be available. We have purchased several cases - once those cases run out, additional glasses will be available via cash bar.
