We met at a our friend's apartment on UC's campus. It was the Fall of 2011. We had a lot of similar friends and couldn't believe that we hadn't met before! It was football season and we were going over to their apartment every weekend to celebrate.
We're thankful for our friends who introduced us! (& also for UC football, because it gave us a reason to come together and party!)

Katie - I knew Dave was the one when he was helping me move to Fort Myers, Florida on January 3rd, 2014. Against my parents' wishes, Dave & I left in the middle of the night trying to make it there in one day. We had to drive separately to Cincinnati, so we could drop Dave's car off at his dad's before driving the rest of the way to Florida. Of course we were driving through a huge snow storm at 2am. I'm following behind Dave, when my tire pops! At first I thought I was just sliding on ice, but no, my tire was completely done for. It was -6 degrees outside without windchill and here Dave is on the side of the highway changing my tire!! I'm freaking out, the bolts were completely frozen, and both of us are pouring our hot coffee on the tire to de-frost it. I just remember shivering thinking 'wow, I love this man!'
Like that day and many days since, Dave continues to remind me why I love him so much, and I cannot wait for him to be my husband!
Dave - I knew I wanted to marry Kate when we were on our flight back home from London. We had just spent the past 30 days backpacking through Europe and it was such an adventure. We traveled to England, Spain, Italy, France, & the Netherlands. We stayed in some questionable hostels and saw some of the most incredible sites. I knew that she was the one I wanted to spend the rest of my life with.

We moved to NYC right after college, on June 15th, 2015 and have been there ever since! We originally came to the city for Katie's job, working as a Fashion Designer at Aerie, and at that time Dave didn't have a job yet. After a tough two months of job searching for Dave, he was able to land a job at the NFL. Needless to say, we feel that NYC was meant to be, and we really wouldn't be where we are now without the love and support of our friends and family!

It was a sunny Saturday morning on April 6th, 2019. We were walking our dog Gracie through NYC's Central Park, with our friends Becca & Michael, and their dog Crosley. Dave was insistent that we stop at a waterfall along one of the walking paths to take a photo. Katie thought this was really strange because he isn't the type to want to take a photo. He also didn't want Gracie to be in the photo either, which was also really strange. When he turned to give Gracie to our friends, who had their phones out, Katie could see the box in his pocket. When he turned around and got down on one knee, she couldn't believe it! There was a crowded path of runners passing above us and we could hear them all cheering. It was absolutely beautiful!! After, Dave had a backpack prepared to have a picnic in the park where we popped champagne and celebrated! Later that night, Dave had a dinner reservation planned for us at a restaurant in Central Park called Tavern On The Green. It was an unforgettable day!!

Gracie is our 4 year old beagle/hound mix rescue dog. We adopted her from the Sato Project on July 17th, 2016. The Sato Project rescues dogs from beaches in Puerto Rico. She always keeps us on our toes & there's never a dull moment with her! She's the fastest dog in the park and can hop over just about any fence in NYC. Unfortunately she won't be celebrating with all of us at our wedding, but our little family wouldn't be complete without her & we love her so much!
