Where it all began…….. You could say this is your traditional love story where two teenagers met, fell in love whilst sneaking around, hiding from parents and basically every Indian aunty. They met on 22nd August 2013 over 8 years ago, through friends of friends at a summer BBQ party and clicked straight away. Their first date was watching the conjuring (yes the original one) and yes, Simal was absolutely terrified, but pretended to be brave so she had to follow through. This was followed by a classic cheeky Nandos and peddle boats in Hyde park.
A bit about the Bride (Simal), well for those of you who know her, she’s a Taurus star sign - grounded, loyal & stubborn. Once you know her, there is nothing she wouldn’t do for you. She’s a huge foodie and loves to have a good time. She loves a good party and a few drinks here or there (she claims it’s not her fault, it runs in her Dad’s blood). Well that’s enough about me let’s get some info on the groom before I take up the whole page…
The groom (Suraj), a sporty fanatic with a love for playing football, kabaddi and squash. He’s also a huge foodie who loves to try new foods and cuisines, but his all-time favourite cuisine will always be Indian (if you ever need to find Suraj, check Abercorn Everest first…). As a Leo sign, naturally he has a bossy instinct which not everyone has seen yet. Similar to a lion he also loves to eat and sleep. He is also a kind natured (sometimes funny) who cares about his family and friends deeply.
They’ve being together for what feels like a lifetime already for them - Suraj popped the question on the 30th April 2021. For what was the most magical day where he really pulled out all the stops to make it extremely special for Simal. Whilst planning a whole day out in London with lots of her favourite food and drinks to then a romantic evening filled with some hiccups. Both of their phones died after just about ordering an Uber on the last 1% battery, with Suraj also forgetting his phone in the Uber (we definitely had too much to drink). The night ended with the beautiful proposal and the most memorable day they have so far.
This leads us to now (Wahaay) planning the wedding, which you’ve probably noticed will be in Cancun, Mexico. We really hope you can make it, and as you all know we love a good party. We can’t think of a better group of people to have our ultimate celebration with. So join us for a fun filled holiday and celebration of a lifetime.
