You can find love in the club

From the Bride:

Where do I even begin? We met in March of 2014. What was supposed to be a girls' night out, turned into me meeting my future husband. Both of us not knowing anything about each other decided to each go out with our own group of friends. Frantz went out with guy friends, while I went out with my female friends. While at this club called Guilt, I was sitting on a couch relaxing, a man walks up to me that I didn't know. The man (that I now know as our best man Drew) said that his "boy wanted to dance with me." I then said back to him, "what are we in high school? If your boy wants to dance with me, he can ask me himself." Drew laughed then walks away never comes back, neither does Frantz. A few minutes later, I went to the bathroom and then I came out and there was Frantz and Drew standing by the door talking. I don't know what came over me (maybe a whole lot of liquid courage) but I walked right up to Frantz and said, "your boy said you wanted to dance, but you couldn't come ask me to dance yourself?" He then said, "would you like to dance?" I told him, "not yet, I don't want to dance to Reggae, find me when Kompa (a Haitian genre of music) comes on," and I walked to meet my friends on the dance floor.

After a while, my friends and I were dancing and taking pictures, I felt someone grab my hand and I turned and there was Frantz ready to dance. We started dancing and after what seemed forever, I tried to pull away and thank him for the dance but he held onto me and asked for my number. I told him he can find me at the end of the night but Frantz wouldn't take no for an answer and we continued dancing the night away. The lights came on and everyone was walking towards the exit and he held me tight and asked for my number again. I saw he was persistent so I stored it in his phone and said goodbye. My friends and I walked out the club and it was raining, I started to hold my umbrella and I then felt someone take the umbrella from my hand to hold it for me. Expecting it to be one of my friends, I looked up and it was Drew! I laughed and just kept walking. Soon enough,  I felt a nudge and Frantz took the umbrella from me and told me that he's going to walk me safely to my car. We came to soon find out you CAN find love in the club...

Moving forward

From the Bride:

Less than a month of us getting to know each other and seeing how we were perfectly matched by God, we made it official! We definitely knew we were meant to be by so many factors! We are total complete opposites but that is what makes us perfect for each other. We love to travel together- anywhere from different states to different countries.  Both of our family including Frantz, are from Cap-Haitian, Haiti (which my mother loved); we both have the same amount of siblings; Frantz is an introvert and I'm an extrovert; I bring the crazy and Frantz brings the calm. The list can go on and on...

Building Us

We've been building our relationship for the last 6 years and have gone through so much together. We have dealt with a sick parent and a death of another parent and it made our bond unbreakable. We have been each other's support through difficult times and the best of times. We've had our ups and downs just like every couple out there. We continue to push each other in doing better whether in it is in life, school or whatever our hearts desired. We wouldn't trade each other for the world!

About Time He Finally Asked!

From the Bride:

Everyone keeps asking how it happened, so here it goes. We planned a weekend getaway in Miami for Frantz's 30th Birthday. My twin sisters, one of my brother-in-laws, and some friends went to celebrate the man of the hour. On Saturday, May 25th our day started with brunch at a nice place on Collins Ave. We then went back to our rental home to get swimsuit ready. In the late afternoon, we rode in a private yacht ride in downtown Miami. We enjoyed the scenery, the water, dancing and drinking, and of course my favorite, the photo ops.. After many countless pictures, dancing and drinks, my sisters said the sun is setting so let's get ready to take a group picture of all of us! My sisters suggested we go inside the yacht and put our coverups on. Little did I know, the twins were in on the proposal and what was to come. As I got inside, I put on my coverup and I was ready to go back up the deck and Sarah said, "Aren't you going to brush your hair or fix your face? We are." I looked up and she was brushing her hair as Debby was applying lipstick. I brushed them off and Sarah forcibly said, "NO! Your hair looks crazy!" She started brushing my hair as Debby handed me the lipstick and told me to reapply and to grab my powder to cover my sweaty face. I did what I was told to do. As we got back to the top of the yacht, we were all talking and the captain told us he was ready to take the photo. We lined up and Frantz and I stood next to each other. He turns to me and asks for a kiss and I gave him one. He then proceeded to ask for another one. Getting increasingly annoyed, I gave him one reluctantly and said "Dude, we're trying to take a picture! Now you look like a clown with lipstick on.” In my head, he was messing up my great photo op moment! Both of us laughing, I turned to him to wipe off the lipstick on his mouth. I slowly remember him talking, but I wasn't really listening because I was more focused on the music in the background that was playing. It was “Marry Me” by Train (my jam!). Then it clicked! I tuned in to actually hear what Frantz was saying. From my peripheral vision, I saw my sisters and brother-in-law recording us. I then and there realized he was proposing and started to freak out! The wind was blowing so hard so Frantz and I held onto each other's hands tightly (for those who know me, I have the worst balance). He finally said the 4 words I have been waiting to hear all my whole life, "Will you marry me?" I of course screamed yes and did a praise dance (catch the clip on the next tab). Now on to become the Saintilmas!

She Said YES!!
