Although Sanjana and I were neighbors in college, we never ran into each other because I was lazy and skipped most group events. Fortunately, I made a last-minute decision to go to a party at Sanjana's apartment. My heart skipped a beat as our eyes met, and I felt an instant connection. As I approached her, my nerves got the best of me and I ended up literally falling for her. She came over to check up on me and as our hands touched, a spark of electricity passed between us. I knew in that moment that she was my soulmate and that I had to make my move. The rest is history!

When I made it a point to just focus on myself, Pulkit came into my life. It is always the unexpected! He is bright, confident, handsome, and charismatic. I was amazed at how we could always keep the conversation going. With him I feel safe, I feel confident, I feel respected, cherished, and loved. When I succeed he celebrates for me, when I struggle he strengthens me, when I fail he lifts me. I chose Pulkit that day and now I can't imagine a life without him.

As time went on, our bond continued to grow stronger. After we graduated from college, our paths resumed in slightly different directions. We moved to different cities for medical school. The journey definitely was not easy. The barriers that we faced during our relationship put our commitment to each other to the test. Together, we overcame each obstacle and displayed that love truly does not have any boundaries.
Almost 6 years later, Pulkit planned a dreamy proposal in Miami. He got down on one knee and finally asked Sanjana if she wanted to spend the rest of their lives together. It was everything she could have ever imagined and truly an emotional moment in their lives. However, the best is yet to come...
In May 2022, Sanjana and Pulkit's traditional engagement ceremony took place in Austin surrounded by their family. In Hindu tradition, the engagement ceremony is seen as a way for the families to formally acknowledge and accept the couple's relationship. This event allowed Sanjana and Pulkit to seek the blessings of their elders and seek guidance as they embark on the journey of marriage. Little did they know that the stress and excitement of planning a beautiful wedding was coming at them full speed!
Following the traditional ceremony, Pulkit and Sanjana (literally) danced the night away with an amazing gathering of friends and family. The night was full of great food, alcohol, music, and people! The party was just a sneak peek of the fun that the wedding time will bring a year later!
