Winter is the season of love and it is also when Sareena and Sameer first met. On a cold December night, their destinies intertwined in the heart of Buckhead. When Sameer first laid eyes on Sareena he couldn’t look away, she stood out from everyone else, he knew he had to talk to her, but she looked a bit unapproachable. He offered to buy her a drink, she declined, then proceeded to order a bottle of champagne herself and offered him a glass instead. As the night went on they somehow ended up talking for hours not realizing everyone else’s night has already ended. She then abruptly left without leaving so much as a phone number, last name, or Instagram handle. Initially it was just a casual encounter between two people who never thought they would see each other again, but throughout the night their strange encounter turned into a truly magical love story. He had to find her again and when he did, the rest was history.
In today's digital world its hard to not know of a person before you meet them, but our meeting was organic just like the produce we buy together. You always hear those stories from your single friends "dude I met this amazing girl/guy at the bar", but nothing usually comes of it besides a fling that might last a night or might go on for a week. We are the success story that only a hopeless romantic can dream of. The saying "can I buy you a drink" turned into a love story that hallmark needs to write about.
So yes we met at a bar and fell in love in a series of outings that followed.
