Feb 2016: Over the past 14 years, Vas and Sahil met numerous times [ this image is from the very first meet] through a common friend (Jas - the one that looks creepy ) and never hit it off. This was in part due to Sahil's obsession with Arsenal and Vas's love for champagne which is exactly what was happening here. Sahil was watching Arsenal vs Bournemouth and Vas was glugging on champs with J. Warrik. Thus, Romeo went home and finished watching the game and Juliet got a massive hangover.

Last May, Vas happened to walk into Sahil's sisters (Diksha) office for work and that's when she saw Sahil's irresistible dimples and politely inquired whether he would like to join Vas + Jas for a movie [specifically Deadpool 2] to which he refused {snob} saying that India censors its movies. But suddenly, lightning struck and Sahil decided to meet them for drinks post deadpool [which was not censored btw].
Post 28 Jaegersbombs [ Vas's doing] and 2 anti social besties [you know who you are] , there were definite fireworks which finally led to Sahil asking Vas out on a date.

24 May 2019: Sahil was all set for a terrible date where Vas would realize what a boring old fart he is when there are no jager bombs involved. In true first date style he decided that he wouldn't drink alcohol and would take her to a psychedelic rock (totally not Vas's style) gig. She being a complete romantic decided to join the sober parade and actually talk to her date. Of course, she found out she had been scammed almost immediately, the sweet nice gentleman she thought she was out with was actually quite the party animal [i.e UTAH] , he put her to shame - she obvs went to the wrong uni. But that day was turned into one of the best days of both their lives.. long live 'Cola Bar' {private joke guys}

Over the next few months the relationship grew over game nights and movies rather than crazy ragers. It took all of 3 days for Sahil to tell Vas that he was going to marry her. 2 weeks in they met each others parents and about a month and a half later the parents met each other. In a normal world they were moving at light speed but things felt so right. They spent this time meeting each others friends and families and becoming more and more sure that they were meant for each other. During this time Sahil also learnt about Vasundhara's obsession with cosmetic products (cue: Picture on the left)

By November, Sahil had started his research on diamonds. This guy who knows nothing about jewelry was now sure that he wanted to propose to a girl who comes from a house of jewelers. Meanwhile Sahil started to youtube the 4Cs (Cut, colour, clarity and carat) and went on the hunt for the perfect ring for the perfect girl. By December he found what he had been looking for and now he had to plan a proposal.
With the next task of actually proposing on his mind, Sahil had 3 failed plans (due to Vas's last minute party plans etc) over the next few weeks by which time he was out of ideas.
One fine Friday (25th of Jan) he decided to pick her up from work take her out for dinner. Vasundhara was quite PMSy [It's an actual thing] that day and didn't want to do anything. He however insisted and proceeded to drive into one of the most romantic restaurants in New Delhi - We mean billowing white curtains, al fresco dining and enough candles to light up India Gate. She [being annoyingly smart] picked up the vibe immediately, but then he hadn't even made a reservation, which threw her off [this being his game plan all along], after the divine shrimp, fettuccine and champagne, she was still eagerly awaiting the proposal which was not forthcoming. He asked for the bill, paid and started to walk out of the restaurant, her heart sank.
When suddenly, he disappeared - she turned around to see where he went and there out in a little alcove, white washed and surrounded by candelabras, He was kneeling and proposed - "Vasundhara Kumar, Will you become my wife?", with the most gorgeous ring she had ever seen. She immediately replied -" YES" [ahem, after some choice expletives]
ROKA Ceremony: An indian ceremony which is the official announcement from both the boy and the girl's families about their engagement. It can be considered as stamping the boy and the girl with the title of “booked and engaged”.
Basically, it's one more ceremony added in to pop the champagne. This was when the extended families met each other and proceeded to like each other [Phew].
Both the families gather together for the first time and exchange sweets, gifts, dry fruits, etc. with each other and also bless the couple who will soon be getting married. Puja is performed according to the Indian rituals and traditions in the presence of a holy priest who recites the holy verses and performs the rituals.

The couple is now getting everything set for their wedding functions from November 7-10th. Get your party shoes and your livers ready because this wedding is going to be SahVage!!!
