We Can't Wait To Celebrate with You!

Here are some things you should know...

Thank you for coming to our wedding celebration weekend! Redwood Ranch is a beautiful, private, 190 acre oasis with riverfront swimming holes and waterfalls. We intend to enjoy the ranch for the whole weekend and all events and activities will be taking place on site at the ranch.

Here is the low-down: We would love to see everyone as much as possible and therefore encourage guests to unplug with us for meals, swimming and hang time. All day, every day! The ranch is approximately 30-45 minutes from the tiny downtown of Three Rivers and while there is wifi at the venue if you are near the house- there is no cell phone service. There is a land line at Redwood Ranch: (559) 370-4043. Check out the website below for pictures of the relaxing swimming holes and property.

We welcome you to camp with us at Redwood Ranch! There are many rural camp spots available, we will have three very nice, air conditioned bathrooms set up near the venue that include sinks and flushable toilets. We also plan to set up several solar shower stations and a spacious, tall, dressing room tent with a full length mirror and a clothes rack.

If you are camping with us we encourage you to purchase our weekend catering option because the use of any fire, including jet-boils, are prohibited due to the fire risk. We are very excited and have put a lot of effort into cultivating this catering option to make the weekend more relaxing for all of our guests. We have been fortunate enough to have our friends at Flora & Fauna Catering joining us for the whole weekend. They will be providing meals from the Friday Welcome Lunch through the Sunday Pancake Buffet. *All meals are Gluten and Dairy Free and will include optional add ins for Gluten and Dairy. Snacks throughout the day and non-alcoholic beverages will be included. Feel free to bring your favorite drinks along to enjoy during daytime activities. Example menu is below.

Redwood Ranch charges $25 per person, per night for camping. The catering package is $120 per person total for Friday lunch through Sunday breakfast. Camping charge is not included in the catering package. Please RSVP for camping & catering on our events page.

Throughout the weekend we plan to have swimming, music, a beautiful and relaxing covered lounge tent with seating, drinks and hammocks, Dj's for days... our incredible friend Mikey will be our host Dj, live music, yoga, tasting with the wine makers and an art gallery.

If you opt to stay in town or at an AirBnb nearby- we would love to have you hang with us! Let us know if you would like to purchase the catering option to have meals, snacks and beverages provided at the ranch for the whole weekend!

A note about children: We LOVE your children and welcome them to our celebration weekend. That being said… this is a rural ranch with 10 ft deep swimming holes right in front of the wedding venue, please ensure your own child’s safety- there will be no lifeguards. This is a stunning natural setting that also happens to come with critters, ranch animals and predatory animals. Our late evening celebrations will include alcoholic beverages and THC/CBD edibles. Please keep this all in mind when bringing your children (whom we adore) along. We want to keep everyone safe and having fun ~ so please keep a very close eye on your little ones if they are coming

Dogs: We love dogs! Very well behaved dogs on leash are welcome at the venue- however there are a few things to note. First off, this is our dog, Berkeley's weekend just as much as it is ours - therefore only dogs whom have met and get along with Berkeley are allowed :). The working farm animals and wild peacocks are residents here and we do not want these gorgeous ‘locals’ to be harmed or harassed. The ranch requires that dogs be leashed. It is absolutely necessary that you clean up after your pet asap.

**Sample Menu** This menu will be altered as the wedding date approaches as Flora & Fauna only uses what is fresh and in season- however this is an example and gives you an idea of our weekend catering package.

Our Tribe
We have an incredible tribe
Felecia Malapit
Felecia Malapit
The Marie Kondo of Wedding Coordination

Felicia is a master of event organizational intelligence, paired with exceptional taste and style.  Felicia (FM Events) has been featured on several well known blogs such as Green Wedding Shoes. We are thrilled have her be a part of our wedding tribe. Felicia has been a huge asset in putting together the logistics for all of the details and style that Serena has been dreaming up for this wedding. She met Felicia when working at Sunrun Solar, where they quickly bonded over very deep experiences such as being "obsessed" with one another's outfits and every now and then the frustrations of working with other humans who may not be as on top of it ;). When Felicia is not working full time at Sunrun or masterfully putting out wedding coordinating or style fires, or being featured in some of the top wedding blogs- she is adventuring and climbing all over the world with her husband Jared. And she makes it all look easy.

Stephanie Wise
Stephanie Wise
Rev Steph
The honorable Rev Steph Wise hails from Boulder, CO and is one of our closest friends. We are thrilled that she will be our officiant. Serena met Steph 6 years ago when Steph was one of the executive members of the coveted Broad St house. She has been a confidant and friend to both of us throughout the past 5 years. We have had many adventures with Steph and her husband, Dustin (videographer) in New Zealand, Austin, Hawaii and throughout the Central Coast. Serena says, "Steph knows basically EVERYTHING about us and our relationship... probably more than she would care to know, therefore she is more than qualified to stand with us as we celebrate our love." When Steph is not working at one of SLO's top architecture firms, she can be seen volunteering, surfing, adventuring or traveling the world. Thank you Steph for being a constant support to us- we love you!
Dustin Wise
Dustin Wise
Film Guru, Tall Guy, Ambassador of Good Times

Dustin comes to us from the Beaverton area, one of many hailing from the illustrious Wise clan. Husband of the legendary Stephanie Wise-Fellows, these two represent a big part of our crew in SLO! Not only does Dustin film many of the Slotography weddings but he is always down for an adventure- filming all over the world for cooking shows, adventure brands and yes, even dazzling viewers with his modeling skills if they are lucky. Keep an eye out for Dustin on the dance floor... if we are lucky he may bust out some of his professional dancing skills.

His adventuring and photography can be followed on instagram at @dbob or at wisedustin.com

James Lester
James Lester
Photographenom

James is Blake's spiritual guru...it is still unknown whether he is a real person, or just a myth (see Unicorn). And like any myth, his legend precedes him: @Jlest makes magic wherever he goes, and his vibe is never harsh (quite the opposite in fact). James can be found using his photographer wizardry skills at weddings, music festivals and of course natural landscapes around the Central Coast. Good for: conversation, wisdom, swagger, etc.

Check him out at @jlest and www.jlest.photo/

Katharine
Katharine "Kat" Thompkin
Creative Kat

Artisanal artist, spiritually delightful, tribal dancer...renaissance woman. Kat is one of our closest friends and will be creating much of the art at our wedding. She is the master artist of our paper invitations and also has bestowed her professional art skills on the audiences of some major music festival projects. When Kat isn't working on colorful, unique projects for Lightning in a Bottle, Whale Rock or a myriad of businesses throughout California- she can be found volunteering at her church, puppy sitting for anyone who has seen her love for dogs, festivaling, dancing, singing and being mistaken for Zoe Saldana when modeling.

Check out her stunning work on her instagram at @kattompkin or www.kattompkin.com

Amber Camacho
Amber Camacho
Goddess of Hugs and yoga wizardry

Amber, the giver of hugs, has been a warm light in our lives! We are lucky to have Amber joining us for our wedding weekend where she will be helping us all relax and find our inner peace through her master yoga teaching skills. Amber has been teaching yoga and meditation for 20 years! Blake has known Amber for about 10 years and Serena knew they would be close friends after their first embrace. We have been grateful to have Amber be an integral part of our tribe since the beginning. We were honored to be at Amber and Damian's intimate and breathtaking Zion wedding last summer (just before getting engaged!) and cannot wait to do more celebrating with them this summer!

Amber also happens to be the owner of Elevenses Mind, Body in which she heals through Kinesiology, movement therapy and Massage Therapy. Check out her website at www.11ses.com/.

Ryan is not only one of our talented wine making friends, but she is also Serena's LIB mentor. Ryan will be one of the wine makers who will be pouring and mesmerizing us with her extensive wine sorcery during our "Tasting with the Wine Maker" experience. As a southern bell in North Carolina, Ryan felt the vineyard hills calling in California. After adventuring in Jackson Hole, Wy, Ryan made her way to San Luis Obispo. Serena met Ryan the girl when she lived in the exclusive and coveted "Broad Street House". Ryan has been sprinkling her wine making magic skills through several harvests in Paso Robles and in Margaret River, Western Australia ~ eventually landing at Adelaida Vineyard in Paso Robles as their Assistant Wine Maker.

Melanie is a consistent source of knowledge and support for Serena- whether it be hosting pop ups at the tasting room, chatting about books in the two, yes TWO, book clubs that they belong to, or providing magical wisdom about wine, food and her new career in ayurveda. Carpooling/Ride Sharing

We cannot stress this enough and understand it's a challenge, but please try to carpool for both camping and for events, due to limited parking in the venue's river valley. We have 30 vehicle parking spaces for our...150 amazing guests... with no option to "park and walk in" from another spot on the property or the road.

~ We are working on shuttling options to *a few* stops. If you haven't already, please provide us with your hotel or airbnb address by filling in the sheet below (or text us, that's cool). We will devise some carpooling & shuttling options to get everyone there and back safely :).

*Uber/Taxis are not really a "thing" in Three Rivers.

*please remember that trailers over 14 feet will not be able to make it down the driveway to the venue

We also have a carpool/rideshare spreadsheet here below- use it :)

Parking is limited on site, (and ya know, "the Environment" is important) therefore, it is crucial that we carpool! Elisa (aka "Reef") has created a great Ride Sharing spreadsheet: View ~ for those traveling from within California to this incredible Venue in Three Rivers, see if you can find a ride and make some new friends!

Driving Directions

Directions should be printed and read completely. Do not rely on GPS. The ranch is approximately 30 minutes drive from Three Rivers.

The Ranch address is 48008 South Fork Drive, Three Rivers, CA 93271

*remember, you will not have any cell coverage for most of the South Fork Dr. Cell service is spotty and GPS is often incorrect. Again, it is best to print these directions for your drive.

*Old Three Rivers Drive is one of the first turn¬offs to the right as you enter Three Rivers. Turn right there. Once you have turned onto Old Three Rivers Dr, continue up, keep right onto Blossom, and make a right at the 3¬way onto South Fork Dr. Redwood Ranch is 7 miles away (approx 20 ¬ 30 mins. drive). Slower is better on these mountain roads. Watch for cattle in the road, and be aware that uphill traffic typically has the right of way¬ however, be aware of pullouts and always make way for any rig with a trailer. Please be a courteous and safe driver as you make your way up to the ranch, and we encourage you to leave that 30 minute drive time window to avoid any rush.

About 20 minutes up you will see the group of mailboxes that include ours¬ -*do not turn here, ¬ continue up South Fork Dr. When you see the “Rio Rosa” ranch gate you are almost there! We are the next ranch. You will see our white pasture fence with the metal Redwood Tree mounted to the right of the gate. The red address marker reads 48008.

Please use the gate code 1933# and drive all the way to the bottom of the drive (*do not turn left to the yellow house, *do not veer right to the small cabins).

*if the gate malfunctions, we do have an intercom system at the front gate¬buzz first, then keep pressing the button to talk, then release it to listen

Barn land line: (559) 370¬- 4043 (this is located outside the house and not answered often)

Camp with Us!

Redwood Ranch

Redwood Ranch is not a campground, it's a beautiful rural river valley with a river going through it and glorious swimming holes. Camping will take place in designated areas, however there are no "camp sites" created so prepare to make your own and claim it when you arrive within the designated areas. There are a few spots for shaded tent sites. Also, please be considerate of your camping neighbors and aware that there will be lots of tents fighting for shade.

Bring your tent, tarp, air mattress, headlamps, some gear for mild weather that can be a high in the 90s and dips into the mid to low 60s in the evening. If you’re worried about shade perhaps bring a shade structure. *Do not bother bringing a stove or jet boil as they are not allowed on the property due to fire regulations and you’re getting catering anyway! Catering will also provide coffee. Also don’t bother bringing a toilet unless you really want one and plan to set up camp further out ~ there will be a fancy air conditioned portable bathrooms there and we’ll provide solar showers and a dressing room tent and allow you to get comfy & lookin’ fresh.

Also, bring some things for your day lounging in the river or at camp. Folding chair (we will have tables and some lounges but not enough for everyone to sit at the same time), water bottle, bathing suit, river towel, shower towel, hand towel and *an old sheet… yep sheets are the best per the river folk! They don’t pick up the sticky leaves and debris so they are great to lay on the rocks and lounge with or lay your towel over. Also feel free to bring your yoga matt for the Saturday morning yoga session with Amber! If you are specific about what you like to drink or snack on, please feel free to bring an ice chest of those things ☺ don’t leave food or drinks out unattended as the peacocks will chow down on it!

Please help us limit the recycling/waste by not bringing such things to camp. We’re going to feed you while you’re on site. We’ve got scheduled meals for the catering package and the Rehearsal Dinner + Wedding Dinner are our treat to you (for being friends for life & supporting and loving us ~ thank you). Come and enjoy a chill & festive weekend by the river.

This ain't no ordinary ranch ~ a river runs thru it, and tents can be pitched anywhere you like! If you camp with us, we are asking that you purchase the weekend catering package. We are all lucky to be fed by the amazing ladies of Flora & Fauna (and they'll be camping right there with us!). It'll be hot, yes (about 97 degrees average high temp) but the river is there to cool your core while you stay close to the action :)

We haven't stayed at any of the hotels, but if you see one that looks good ~ Redwood Ranch is an easy 20 minute drive from most motels & 'downtown'
