Welcome to Iowa..err, well, we mean the Quad Cities. The Quad Cities is made up of small cities in Illinois and Iowa, divided by the Mississippi River. Our ceremony is in Davenport, IA and our reception is in Rock Island, IL. Most of the travel option destinations are actually to Moline, IL. This is all in the Quad Cities. Once you are in the Quad Cities, Uber and Lyft are your best, cheap options to travel around!

Planes

Flights

The Quad Cities has a local airport in Moline, IL. That airport only has flights with Delta, United, and American Airlines. There are direct flights to many main airport hubs (see picture). If desired, you can fly into those main airport hubs on your preferred airline and take a direct flight to Moline, from there.

If you fly into Chicago, there are other transportation options available (below). BE SURE TO COORDINATE FLIGHT TIMES WITH OTHER TRANSPORTATION OPTIONS, PRIOR TO BOOKING.

Trains

Amtrak - Chicago

Amtrak offers a train and shuttle service to Moline, IL. Trains travel from Chicago, IL (Union Station) to Galesburg, IL. An Amtrak shuttle will take you from Galesburg to Moline, IL.

However, there is a long layover between the train and shuttle. You can visit the local breweries, shops, or take a Greyhound shuttle instead. Greyhound offers shuttle services from Galesburg, IL to Moline, IL.

This will most likely be the cheapest option but will take the longest.

ACT II Transportation

ACT II Transportation offers daily shuttle services from Chicago airports. This is offers you a more direct option than taking a train, from Chicago to the Quad Cities. They offer discounts for reservations made more than 2 weeks in advance.

Their daily scheduled options are below. It will take some extra coordination to ensure your flight times work with these or you can call to reserve a specific time, outside of these options. 

Shuttles depart Moline 3 times daily at 8:00am, 11:00am, & 2:00pm

Shuttles depart Chicago Airports 3 times daily at 2:00pm, 5:00pm, & 8:00pm


Greyhound

Greyhound offers shuttle services from Chicago (Union Station) to Moline, IL. Since this is not at the airport, you need to uber/lyft/taxi to Union Station, from the airport. This option is similarly priced to taking the train.


Rental Cars

Several rental car companies are available, even at the Moline airport. It is about a 3 hour drive from Chicago. Depending on the size of your travel party, this may be a desirable option.
