Please Log inWhat does pithi mean?
Pithi means good luck! The pithi ceremony is an auspicious ritual performed for good luck. Pithi is a paste made mainly of turmeric, chickpea flour and rose water. Family members and friends of the bride and groom apply the paste on the bride/groom's skin. There will be food, music and dancing!
We would love to see our family and friends get fancy with us! We are requesting a formal dress code for our evening. Please, no jeans.
Traditional Indian/Pakistani wear is welcomed!
Parking is available on site, across the street, and in town. There is, however, always a limit and we do encourage using Uber, Lyft or carpooling to the venue to allow everyone to park close.
Can I Take Pictures?
We are having an "unplugged" ceremony. This just means we are asking that all phones and devices be put away and on silent/turned off during the ceremony. Why? Well we've hired talented professionals to capture some of the most important moments in our lives, and we'd hate to have a well-meaning person's phone/device blocking that moment for them to capture. After the ceremony, feel free to take as many photos as you want! And we promise to share the ceremony photos as soon as we get them.
Can I Bring Guests/ +1's Not Noted On My Invitation?
We addressed the invitations to the people we would love to come to our wedding. If you received a plus one, they will appear under your name when you RSVP on the wedding website. Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation.
