What is a Garba?

To Garba or Not to Garba?

A Garba a traditional Gujarati folk dance that is made up of synchronized routine steps, while moving in a coordinated circle and normally clapping your hands!

Gujarati's and especially our family LOVE Garba.

To our non-Indian loved ones, there will be plenty of friends and family ready to teach you the steps, so get ready to participate with us and truly begin the celebrations of two families becoming one!

- Wear comfortable shoes, preferably no heels so you can dance all night long!

The Baraat

What is this?

Traditionally, the Baraat is the wedding procession that starts from the groom's house and ends at the bride's.

Since we are getting married at The Marriott, Darshan's Baraat will start at 8:45am from the Loading Zone (please arrive in the Foyer at 8:30am) and end at the entrance of the Ballroom Foyer, in which Darshan will be welcomed by Riya's Mum.

The DJ will be leading the Baraat - so be prepared to dance, A LOT and make sure to make noise so Riya can hear you arriving!

RSVPs

By when do I need to RSVP? And how do I do it?

Please sign in with your email and RSVP online in the RSVP section by March 5th. You will not be able to RSVP after this date as our venue will not be able to accommodate.

Plus Ones and Kids

Can I bring a plus one? How about my kids?

Please sign in with your email in the RSVP section to see who all in your party is invited (or if you've already received your invite, check the envelope to see who it was addressed to) - we tried to be as specific as possible, and all guests have been listed! Most kids are not invited to the wedding/reception, unless they are close family members.  If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.

Dress Code

What should I wear?

For all events, we are asking our guests to wear either Traditional-Indo Western or Formal.

Wedding Location

Inside or Outside?

The wedding ceremony will be indoors, however, the Baraat (groom's procession) will start outdoors.

There will be some downtime in between events, and the property has a lovely pool and manicured grounds / garden. The hotel also sits by a lake, with other commercial plazas in the surrounding area - so feel free to walk around and make the most of your trip.

Parking

Is there parking on site?

Complimentary parking is being offered by our venue for all of our guests travelling by car. Please follow directions to the onsite car park.

Airport Shuttle

Who will pick us up from the Airport?

The Marriott Orlando Airport Lakeside offers complimentary shuttles that operate from the Ground Transportation Level of Orlando International Airport (MCO) and runs to and from the Hotel every 15 mins. The zone will have a sign that says 'Marriott'.

If you arrive and a shuttle is not at the allocated zone, please be patient as they will be returning back from the shuttle zones. For any questions, please call 407-851-9000.
