FLIGHTS

We recommend flying into Dubrovnik International Airport.  It is located about 30 minutes from the Old City, and is well serviced by Uber and taxis.

There is a direct flight on United Airlines from Newark Liberty International Airport to Dubrovnik International Airport that operates seasonally.

There are many other flight options from US major airports with daily connections at cities like London, Paris and Rome. It may make sense to match your connection with other travel plans should you be extending your trip to other destinations.

We plan to travel on a red-eye flight to London and then take a second flight the next day from London to Dubrovnik. On return, we are flying from Paris back to New York.

Transportation

Dubrovnik is a small city. Uber and taxis are readily available and affordable.

It is not necessary to rent a car for the wedding weekend. If you do wish to venture to more distant areas of Dubrovnik or beyond, cars can be conveniently rented at the airport or in the city.

The Old City itself is pedestrian-access only. While it is not very large, there are many, many steps and cobblestone alleys within the City walls. Consider your baggage and footwear accordingly. Car parks and Uber / taxi stands are located at each of the three entrances, or Gates:

- Buza Gate:  the North most entrance; the most direct access to the heart of the Old City. Accessible by several steep flights of stairs.

- Pile Gate: the North West gate, accessible by gradual steps and inclined walkway.

- Ploce Gate: the North East gate, accessible by gradual steps and inclined walkway.
