The happy couple will be staying at the Cambria Hotel North Scottsdale Desert Ridge for their wedding weekend. Hotel accommodations have been made at the Cambria. Transportation will be provided to and from the Cambria Hotel and the venue (Anthem Country Club). Please check the Transportation Tab for additional details.

This stay includes dates 10/13/22 - 10/16/22 at $119 per night. However, the hotel advised they would extend the group rate for three days prior and following the block dates (per availability). In addition, there is no requirement to book all three nights for the group rate to apply. 

If you are booking within the block dates (10/13/22-10/16/22) you can use the link below or call the hotel to reserve your stay. If you are booking outside the block dates you will have to call the hotel to make reservations. If the representative booking your stay does not honor the group rate outside of the block dates, please contact Randi and she will help resolve the issue!

Additionally, if you are told there are no rooms left in the block of rooms, please contact Randi to help book the accommodations. 

The Holiday Inn Express & Suites is another option for guests the weekend of the wedding. However, please note transportation will only be provided from the Cambria Hotel. If you choose to stay at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites it will be a 3 minute (600 ft.) walk to the Cambria Hotel parking lot. Group rates are not available at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites.

If you are planning to go all out on your vacation, the JW Marriott at Desert Ridge is a beautiful option for your stay. The resort has much to offer and is less than 2 miles from the Cambria. Please remember transportation is only provided from the Cambria Hotel. If you stay at the resort and plan to utilize the transportation from the Cambria Hotel, please plan accordingly. Check the transportation tab for more details. 

The Cambria Hotel is a 28 minute drive (25 miles) to the venue, Anthem Country Club. Two coach buses will be transporting guests to the wedding venue for the ceremony. The first is scheduled to leave The Cambria Hotel at 3:30 PM and the second bus will depart at 3:45 PM. 

Following the reception, one coach bus will be going between Anthem Country Club and The Cambria Hotel to transport guests. The coach bus will leave the venue at 9:45 PM, 10:45 PM, and finally at 11:45 PM.

To ensure we have adequate transportation we are asking guests to sign up for departure times. If you will require transportation to the venue for the ceremony or back to the hotel after the reception, check with the front desk at the Cambria Hotel. They should provide a sign up sheet for you to select a departure time.

If you are not staying at the Cambria Hotel, but would like to use the transportation please contact Randi no later than a week before the wedding. We will need to make sure you are included on one of the departure trips.

Uber and Lyft: 

Ubers and Lyfts may be a viable option for transportation to the venue. However, we anticipate difficulty reserving Ubers at the end of the evening due to location of the venue. If you utilize the scheduled transportation to and from the Cambria, but you are not a guest of the hotel you will likely be able to order an Uber or Lyft from the Cambria to wherever you are staying. 

Personal Transportation:

Personal (or rented) vehicles are allowed through the gate at Anthem Country Club. All vehicles must be removed from the venue parking lot by 12:00 AM following the reception. If you choose to drive, once you arrive at the gate stay to the left and proceed to the attendant who will give access and directions to the venue location. Simply provide your name and advise you are a guest of the Barrow-Krol Wedding. 

Arizona in October is not a hard sell and for good reason - there is so much to do, not to mention the beautiful weather and scenery. If you are able to attend our wedding, take advantage of your stay and make it a vacation! Below you will find our favorite spots and activities the Valley has to offer. Desert Ridge: 

The Cambria Hotel is in the heart of Desert Ridge. You can find much to do within walking distance or a short drive from the hotel.

- Light shopping at the Desert Ridge Marketplace (Target, H&M, Nike, Home Goods, Ulta, Tillys, Kohls, Old Navy, DSW). 

- Golf at the Wildfire Golf Club attached to the JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort and Spa. 

- Walking paths around Desert Ridge Marketplace and the JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort. 

- Exercise: Club Pilates and F45 gyms are also nearby the hotel

Kierland Commons & Scottsdale Quarter: 

Kierland Commons and the Scottsdale Quarter offers light outdoor shopping with fancy restaurants. You’ll find stores like Lululemon, Michael Kors, Kittenish, Sephora, Urban Outfitters, and Anthropology. Restaurants are a dime a dozen, including: Mastro’s, Dominick’s Steakhouse, Culinary Dropout, Morton’s Steakhouse, The Mission, Shake Shack, North Italia, Postinos.  

Old Town Scottsdale: 

From the Cambria Hotel you will be 25 minutes (19 miles) north of Old Town Scottsdale. There you can find some of the best shopping, food and activities in the Valley.

Sedona:

From the Cambria Hotel you will be 1 hour and 40 minutes away from Sedona, Arizona. The Red Rocks are a bucket list view. There is plenty of hiking and shopping to keep you busy. You can schedule a jeep tour or rent ATVs! The scenery alone is worth the drive. 

The Grand Canyon 

From the Cambria Hotel you will be right at a 3 hour drive to the Grand Canyon. If you haven’t been, this is a must! 

The wedding parties will be getting ready at the Cambria Hotel. Separate transportation will be provided for each group from the hotel to the venue. Spouses & dates will be able to utilize the scheduled transportation with the other wedding guests from the Cambria Hotel to get to the venue for the ceremony. Spouses & dates will need to sign up for a departure time at the front desk of the Cambria hotel.

Following the reception there will be separate transportation provided specifically for wedding party and their spouses/dates, departing the venue at 12:00 AM.  If anyone would prefer to leave the reception prior to 12:00 AM, you will be able to utilize the scheduled transportation back to the Cambria Hotel (9:45 PM, 10:45 PM, or 11:45 PM).
