To our dearest family & friends,

We have made the very difficult decision to press pause on our wedding, as we figure out what's next. What we do know, is that for the safety of everyone, we've decided to no longer host our wedding at Tank Creek Ranch.

We'll keep everyone updated here in the following days as we make decisions and plans, but for now please hold off on purchasing travel and accommodations. For those of you who have already booked, we deeply apologize for the inconvenience.

Thank you all so much for the support and love that you've showed us throughout this time, we're so thankful to be surrounded by the most incredible group of people.

The Ranch gets it's name from Tank Creek, a creek which runs through 170 acres of land and flows into the Pere Marquette River. Rachel's Great Grandparents, Catherine Elizabeth & Harold Russell, purchased the property in 1964 which included several acres along both sides of the Pere Marquette River and two buildings - a home, and another that would be called the Bat House.

Summer's were spent fishing the river, hunting, and enjoying the beauty of the land. 33 years ago, The Ranch became home to Paul, Grandson of Elizabeth & Harold, and Maude Bigford, who raised their three children, Rachel's cousins, there. The magic and beauty of The Ranch has been passed down through several generations, six to be exact, and we are so excited to share it with you this summer.

Paul & Maude, Rachel's Aunt and Uncle who still call The Ranch home, have graciously opened up their doors to host our wedding, which will be the 7th wedding on the property.

This event is for the fishing lovers. It's completely OPTiONAL, and you're responsible for paying for yourself. Email Rachel and PJ at wantyrac@gmail.com to sign up.

August is the peak of the King Salmon fishing season and we've set up 3 charter fishing boats to take you out and experience the magic of reeling in a lunker from the big lake.

PAYMENT
Each boat can hold up to 6 people, and cost will be divided evenly amongst each person per boat. With a full boat, cost would come out to roughly $165/person including tip and can be paid directly to the captain morning of.

Family and bridal party will be staying at the Barothy Lodge. We have a hotel room block at the Summer’s Inn B&B, when calling to reserve a room, please referance the Wanty/Forslund wedding. Alternative hotel options would be the Holiday Inn Express in Ludington or the Best Western Ludington- we do not have room blocks at these locations, so we suggest reserving ASAP as rooms are likely filling up.

There are plenty of Airbnb’s/VRBO's in the area - we'd recommend searching in the Branch or Ludington areas.

Branch, MI is located on the beautiful Pere Marquette River, which offers amazing kayaking, canoeing, and fishing.

We have set up 3 separate deep sea salmon fishing charters to depart early Saturday morning - for anyone interested, please visit the 'EVENTS' section of our website and sign up there.

Ludington offers miles of Lake Michigan beach front. We'd recommend visiting Sterns Beach or the Ludington State Park for a day in the sun!

If you’re interested in Kayaking or canoeing, we’d recommend renting equipment at Barothy Lodge, located at 7478 E Barothy Rd. Additionally, the beaches of Lake Michigan are a short drive away in Ludington, and a perfect way to spend an afternoon in the sun.
