Intro - Alex and Rachel met on their freshman hall on the first day of college. Both had no idea what they were doing and spent the next four years living together and trying to figure it out. They then both moved to NYC where, again they had no idea what they were doing. Through it all, Alex has become the sister Rachel never had, and the person she can count on in any situation. Even though some may view her move to Providence as an epic betrayal, Rachel has kindly chosen to see the positives - a vacation destination stocked with Veuve Clicquot and a private chef (shout out Bryan).
Secret Skill - A pro at fixing outfits, makeup, and hair. If you run into a fashion emergency, she's your girl.

Intro - Jamie and Rachel met when they were both 3 and Jamie's family moved in across the street. They made it through elementary, middle, and high school together, and somehow, Jamie still wanted to be Rachel's friend. From saving Rachel from playground fights to telling her when it might be time to go home to helping her try to explain to a line of French people in their French cars on a French mountain that they all had to reverse out the garage because they didn't have enough cash to pay for parking, Jamie has always been like a wiser big sister helping Rachel along.
Secret Skill - Animal whisperer extraordinaire. Your pets will most definitely end up loving her more if you leave her with them for more than a few minutes.
If She Were a Cocktail - Aquavit: the national drink of Norway, Jamie's home away from home.
Intro - Both Rachel and Mecal were in need of an Upper West Side roommate when they moved to NYC for grad school. Rachel and Mecal messaged back and forth and signed a lease without every meeting. The gamble paid off and after five glorious years of living with each other and continued friendship, Mecal has proven to be the perfect roommate, therapist, and partner in crime, putting up with Rachel at every turn (which isn't always the easiest thing to do).
Secret Skill - Able to detail any and all facts relating to celebrity (this includes, but is not limited to, B list Bravo celebrities).
If She Were a Cocktail - Champagne, because it isn't always at the party, but when it comes out the night is one to remember!
Intro - As with many events at Bucknell, Rachel doesn't quite remember how she and Bridget met. What she does know is that from junior year of college on, Bridget has been the life of the party. Rachel knows that the minute she hears Bridget's signature girl "woo", its about to be a good time! Beyond her fun time spirit, Bridget is an amazing friend who always makes time and goes the extra mile for the people who matter to her.
Secret Skill - Can beat anyone at any and all sports. If you need a teammate for an athletic competition, look no further.
If She Were a Cocktail - White Claw, because she can start at 10am and keep the party going into the night...woo!
Intro - Rachel and Lindsay met during sorority recruitment when Lindsay was joining ADPi. Between pre-games, mixers, and chapter, the two became fast friends. Eventually, they moved to New York together and had the same fun, but now it was at Los Feliz, Yerba Buena Perry, and The Jane. Lindsay has always impressed Rachel with her ability to pivot between talking portfolio management and tequila shots in a matter of seconds.
Secret Skill - The hostess with the mostest. Oh you want seltzer with your vodka? She happens to stock 12 varieties.
If She Were a Cocktail - The tequila in the hip flask at your high school graduation, because she is always ready to go.
Intro - Rachel and Kat met during Columbia grad school orientation. Kat invited Rachel and Mecal to coffee on that first day, and the three have been friends ever since. After two years of trekking from the Upper West Side to the Lower East Side for the nightlife, the group moved to the Lower East Side and lived there for three years. Kat and Rachel have stayed continually committed to exploring all of the restaurants, bars, and coffee shops the area has to offer. They have a detailed list they can share with you; just ask!
Secret Skill - Makes grandma's pasta better than grandma. The secret is in the sausage.
If She Were a Cocktail - Aperol Spritz, as they are always seen at the trendiest spots.
Intro - Rachel met Freya during her first trip to stay with James' family in Speldhurst. Rachel knew she and Freya would get along when she saw just how skilled Freya was at putting James in his place. Freya also was able to point out one or two more specific Pottow traits, namely the indoor slipper policy, pajamas weekends & how many cups of tea can be hoarded upstairs. We also now know Rachel & Freya love roast dinners the same amount.... a lot!
Secret Skill - If all you have is a first name and a single fact, she can find all of someone's information online within minutes. CIA eat your heart out.
If She Were a Cocktail - Stella, just like her brother.
Intro - Rachel met Millie when she came to stay in NYC. Some of the highlights include attempted Uber rides through the Pride Parade, debating the best cookie at Levain, introducing James to the magic of Ulta, and giving Millie her first Fourth of July experience. Throughout the trip, Millie was able to teach Rachel some of the more unique qualities about James that he had not quite yet shared, particularly gaining a whole new understanding for his affinity for funny voices.
Secret Skill - Makes the perfect cup of tea. Before you ask, the perfect cup of tea is made with PG Tips.
Best Moment - Coke, hold the rum.
Intro - Horatio made going into an office at 7:00 AM on a Friday okay for James. He ensured the company exclusively supplied Stella (+ Kronenbourg) & knew of every evening chicken spot on the “stay past 8, grab a plate” policy that was swiftly removed after their abuse. Harry introduced James to Goals Galore at Betfred & they both love the danger only football at the Amex can provide.
Favorite Food - Gravy + Meat Raffles.
Best Moment - Increasing the scoops of instant coffee into their bosses drink day by day for 3 months, until he went to the hospital suffering from shakes & migraines.
Intro - Chapstick met James on their first day of college at Bristol, where they arrived at a tea and cake “meet & greet” and left with 3 other roommates (Guerno, Wolffage, Creature, - shout out to our house fish, Fingers) for life & 4 bottles of Gin. Between the two of them, they were responsible for 3 years of Top Gear, Meal Deals, Fixing things & lifting… although James was better at the “advisory role”. Quite honestly, Felix deserves a medal for the things he’s seen and heard & luckily for all - he has it almost all recorded!
Favorite Food - Smelly Fish Pasta. PM him for the Recipe.
Best Moment - Hosting a house Toga party & the gang inviting Felix’s last “flame” he had ghosted… 2 hours early to the pad - then leaving them to bask in their awkwardness.
Intro - Whilst walking down in FiDi to a bar, James heard the unmistakable tones of a Matt Lucas "Little Britain" impression. Three years later and Kingy & James have explored every nook and cranny of New York, countless photo outings and a frankly disgusting amount of Islanders, New York Red Bulls and Yankees games. Add in the odd Dua Lipa concert with a steak & you have the dream team. Just don’t ask Jamie if Manchester United have had a penalty recently.
Favorite Food - Burger - shout out Come Fly Me.
Best Moment - Watching Jamie almost be escorted out of a public place, after Kieron Trippier’s free-kick went in during the World Cup.
Intro - A man with a name destined to move to America, Jacko will readily apologize to Mrs. Pottow for firstly bringing James to the US & then bringing him to another company…. Sorry Dawn! Within a month of moving over, they were at a Metallica gig (James thinks he was back-up for a date…) and James was staying on Jacko’s couch. Ever since then, it was KPI’s by day, listening to James going on about Rachel & making sure there was an activity with the evening’s drinking!! Big Thanks to Jacko, for letting James come in hungover/still drunk from his dates with Rachel. And introducing him to Hinge…
Favorite Food - Vindaloo.
Best Moment - Jacko coming to a Birthday piss up at Houston hall with his mother. Combining his two favorite things… Family & the lash.
Intro -As with many other great minds, Andy & James first came together at Laut (The OG one… not the new one that frankly isn’t as good). Andy was giving James the once over to join him at work. Fast forward an embassy trip or two & a sweaty James was meeting Andy for his birthday at Yankee stadium. What has followed is years of abuse, support, and pranks on absolutely everyone around them. Andy is the first one you want by your side plotting, the second one you want at the curry house behind you (they both love Peshwari Naan so very much). You can find Andy & James in a JCrew sale most Saturdays, comparing notes on checked shirts.
Favorite Food - Sausage Rolls. If you are coming to this wedding, ask him for the recipe.
Best Moment - Watching Andy sprint across Union Square to accost a man who had just stolen 2 handbags from the company photoshoot. James saw it happen, but a persistent “sports injury” stopped him taking part.
Intro - When Alex thought about the benefits of a brother, which are very few according to Rachel, we aren’t sure he had a ginger British guy who competes with food leftovers & screams at 07:00 AM on the weekend about Football (Soccer) in mind. Luckily for James, Alex is the first one up for watching a game with a Captain and Coke in hand. Now we just need Alex to get James’ golf swing to a respectable level & I’m sure we will have Alex in a Brighton jersey, as long as the game starts after 11:30 AM!
Favorite Food - You've never seen someone do what he does to a meatloaf.
Best Moment - Seeing true fear in Alex’s eyes as Rachel shaved his head with dog fur trimmers in lockdown.
Intro - A couple days into COVID lockdown 2020, James and Rachel started to feel as though working from home wouldn't be ending any time soon. While they'd always planned to save dog ownership for their post-NYC days, they thought they might just explore their options during this work from home period. It was love at first sight. Rachel was a goner and James could only stand by and watch as another man stole his woman's heart. However, they decided to sleep on it and make a decision in the morning. James decided no, it wasn't the right time, went out to run an errand, and turned up an hour later with his cuddle replacement. Their lives haven't been the same since.
Favorite Food - He's a dog, so basically everything, but he is particularly partial to some peanut butter, popsicles, and meaty balls.
Best Moment - Feeling like Ariana's security team, trying to walk Roland down the street during his early days (and still now).
