On December 5, 2016, Tom and Quinnie first met in Shanghai where Quinnie was part of a pitch to work with Tom's company. She didn't win the business that day but she did win Tom! (guess who wrote this first paragraph!)
However, it took some time - and some awkward encounters - before they would properly come together!
A year later they met again at a yoga class where Tom's knee blew up and Quinnie dashed away after the class to avoid an embarrassing encounter.
The next day, Tom then sent a rather coy email saying "they should meet up some time to see how they could help each other on their sustainability goals"...very cool!
Another year later and another odd encounter then followed as the two bumped into each other at a shopping mall, hugging on the first meet but then shaking hands as they said good bye...awkward (you get the theme!)
Then finally they met at a work conference, their passion for the environment and sustainability drawing them together and Tom finally plucked up the courage to reveal his true intentions, the awkwardness dropped and the two began chatting incessantly as Tom traveled to Sri Lanka and Quinnie to Hong Kong.
On their return back to Shanghai, they soon became inseparable.
Many happy memories and traveling the world together then followed and in the early morning of October 17 2020, Tom proposed to Quinnie and surprised her with an engagement party to celebrate with their close friends in Shanghai.
After 6 years from the inception and 4 years together, we can't wait to celebrate with all of you on December 16, 2022 in Koh Samui, Thailand!
