The Tech Interactive [San Jose] (www.thetech.org/) - Interactive Museum of all things Tech and Silicon Valley.

The Dish Hike [Palo Alto] (Stanford Ave, Stanford) - The iconic satellite communication dish at Stanford that is attributed as the founding technology that caused the growth of the tech industry, ultimately forming the Silicon Valley. Easy 2-3 mile hike on a paved trail.

HP Garage [Palo Alto] (367 Addison Avenue, Palo Alto) - It's just a house, you can't go inside, where the company was founded. Some people like to see where that Silicon Valley "garage" culture comes from.

Facebook HQ [Menlo Park] (1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park) - It's worth making the trip, just to take a photo with the Like/thumbs-up Sign (If you are really into Computer History, the back side of the sign still says Sun Microsystems - the original company at this location)

Intel Company Museum [Santa Clara] (2200 Mission College Boulevard, Santa Clara) 

Apple Park Visitor Center [Cupertino] (10600 N Tantau Ave, Cupertino) - Ultra modern design, a must see if you are into architecture, you've never seen an Apple store or a company building like this one.

Ferry Building Marketplace - Food artisan Marketplace in the historic Ferry Building brings together the food traditions of the Bay Area

Golden Gate Bridge - Each year the Golden Gate Bridge attracts more than 10 million visitors to take in its tremendous 746-foot tall towers, sweeping main cables, signature International Orange color and Art Deco styling.

Painted Ladies - One of the most photographed locations in SF, Alamo Square's famous "postcard row" at Hayes and Steiner Streets is indeed a visual treat.

California Academy of Sciences - research institute and natural history museum, that is among the largest museums of natural history in the world.
