I need to get my phone fixed,will you accompany me to the mall?He asked. We had no idea how the day would go. We stopped for breakfast, after one of the best brunches in Windsor, the phone was fixed, Mary Poppins movie ended and the day led us taking a walk around Windsor shores. Well, the town is beautiful. She quietly said, it reminds of her home and we sat there quiet taking in the scenery. Out of the blue “May I call it a date?”,he said.She frowned and smiled! NO.And we walked away as friends and celebrated first birthdays.
Third time is a charm. He got a date for the New Year. They danced the night away cheering and celebrating with friends. A new year with new beginnings. She is uptight , rules by the book. He is well him! He is spontaneous, a people’s person. Time flies by, he graduated and work took him far. She got busy at school. Both working their goals and their bond grew strong. Yes, yes, yes! They had their petty spats but, nothing an ice cream won’t resolve.
They travelled a lot. She was happy by the waters, he liked the mountains. There were a bunch of happy friends who steered together with them. He decided it’s time for a permanent co-passenger. She wasn’t ready. He waited with patience for the girl to see, that no matter what he will be there. One day, they both were ready.
It looks like an official summit! Doesn’t it? After a long wait the families met. They welcomed her family with warm greetings. They had their inhibitions, it started with awkward smiles and short conversations and we waited so long to hear a call back. Who knew the short meet turned into a day out where they shared their joys, bellies were full with amazing food, hearts were filled with content. Dads well they were two peas in a pod. Everybody showed us the green light for happy to go.
Well, it is he said Yes and she said yes! On a beautiful evening, when the river side breeze is gushing, the sun is slowly setting down into the clouds ,a beautiful cinnamon red painted the sky. The girl kneeled quiet the same place he had a heart to heart promise to have her back. He was surprised! Little did she know he was setting up lights on that tree by the riverside looking upon the Down town lights with a bunch of roses and their favourite song. Waiting to make her day much more special! There he was waiting under the tree as still as he could be hiding all his blush in the cheeks.
Now that our hearts are united, we decided to spread the happiness as a family. Oh boy! It is a two state’s ordeal. For those who know it, yay! We made it. For the rest, we are awaiting to meet and greet with joyful stories at our celebration. Please join us!
