While the pandemic was in full swing, Pooja was looking for love. One day in June 2020, she matched and messaged Bryant on what happened to be the day after his birthday. Bryant saw this message while traveling for work and thought "well, what a nice birthday gift; a pretty girl hitting on me."
Neither would realize until later what a gift it was.
No one knew how long this global pandemic would last, but one thing was for certain, finding love is rarely simple, and lockdowns weren’t going to make it any easier. As the two got to know each other long distance via phone calls and facetimes (Bryant in Florida and Pooja in Boston), they went from talking for a couple of hours every few days to talking for a couple hours every few hours.
Finally, it was time for Bryant to meet this girl! In August, he booked a flight to Boston…you know, to make sure she wasn’t a catfish.
Turns out the fears were unwarranted, she wasn’t a man on the other end, but one of the most beautiful, fun, and down-to-earth girls he had ever met.
Pooja was the next to take a chance. After a great first date in Boston, she followed her heart to join him on his next work trip. The pair began jet-setting across the country, they visited LA, Seattle, Salt Lake City, NYC, Tampa, Vermont, Miami, and of course countless visits to Boston while meeting family and friends along the way.
As their love grew deeper over the course of a year and a half, Bryant finally decided to propose on October 30th, 2021 and it had to be in Boston, the city Pooja loves so much and the city that Bryant had formed an unexpected bond with.
This brings us to today! Pooja and Bryant are excited to celebrate this union with their closest family and friends on the beautiful beaches of Punta Cana.
