On Saturday, October 20,2018, a normal walk during sunset turned into moments we both will forever cherish. I would always compare our love story to a Bollywood movie which I would make Falgoon watch a lot of. With the thought of my love for Bollywood songs, Falgoon incorporated a song from every Bollywood movie we watched into his proposal. Thank you to our amazing dream team for making this moment the best step towards forever
Stop number one was our Satyam Bhai! SatyamBhai was the welcoming face of our proposal weekend; picking us up from the airport and the last face we saw as we set back to Florida as Newly Engaged. On our car ride from the airport; Satyam Bhai and Falgoon forgot Pam was in the car and may have slipped that Tulsi and Payal where in the city. Never have I once thought we could be blessed with such a selfless brother as we have with our Satyam Bhai. Thank you for being that weirdo in the park that day blasting Aankhein Khuli!
Stop number two was our sweet little sister Sweta! This was the first time meeting Sweta for Pam. Assuming she was some random girl Satyam Bhai hired to stand in the park with a photo of us and Dholna playing through a speaker.
Stop number 3, Payal! Payal, was playing the undercover detective. She helped Pam prepare for the proposal by advising her about what dress to buy, how her hair should go and how does her makeup look. She also had to talk Pam out from proposing to Falgoon since Falgoon convinced Pam she wasn't receiving a proposal since their Ghor Dhana was in the works. The moment Pam saw Payal, the excitement that light up in her face was priceless. Payal has become more much than just a cousin but a sister and best friend to Pam.
Stop number four was Kishan! Kishan and Pam started off rough.. let's just say Kishan didn't want to share Falgoon with Pam the first time they met! lol However the moment Pam saw Kishan; she couldn't content her excitement and the waterworks started. It was that very moment, Pam realized that she was going to be proposed too.
Stop number five was Nandan! Nandan learned all the choreograph for Chamakti Shaam Hai and was having a dance party in the middle of Gantry Park as we approached him. Numz has the biggest heart anyone could have! Numz would alway Notice Falgoon and Pam were in houseparty and jump right into their vchats.
Stop number 6 was Tulsi! As we turned the corner to our last stop, Tulsi was standing there holding our favorite picture and playing Pamela’s favorite song Dafli Wale. The only thing she was missing was Maya! May not be sister by blood but will forever be sister by heart.
After Falgoon led Pamela to the heart shaped flowers and candles with Teri Bindiya Re playing in the background. He spoke the most beautiful words and ended it with “ Pamela Geeta Bhowanidin, Will you marry me?”
"Was that a yes" -Satyam Bhai
In the distance we could hear Satyam Bhai asking if that was a yes? Choked up with all the emotions; Pamela wasn’t able to say yes so she jumped into Falgoon arm.
Shout out to Khushal for hiding in the brushes to capture this moment for Falgoon and I! Sorry, I thought you were a creep hiding in the brushes right by the playground with a camera. (LOL)
After the proposal, we headed start to Manhattan for an amazing Italian dinner and a night of dancing.
