Wedding Weekend
We have a full schedule of exciting activities to fill up our weekend. You must sign-in to view full event details. If using your phone, go to the Itinerary Tab and click "Private Events". If using your computer, go to the Itinerary Tab and click "More".
Our wedding celebration will take place on Hawkesdene's 54-acre private mountain estate in Andrews, NC. Guests will stay on, or near, the property and enjoy access to hiking, fire pits, yard games, game rooms, llamas, and more! Our weekend will be packed with fun - check out Hawkesdene for yourself!
Please note this will be an adults-only celebration.
- Cell service is limited in the area. Reference our website for step-by-step directions to the property from the main roads.
- If you are staying at Hawkesdene and arriving between 10 AM - 6 PM (Thursday check-in begins at 4 PM), enter the property through the main gate on the left, park out front and proceed to the main house. Hawkesdene staff will check you in and direct you to your cabin, where you will park your vehicle. If you are arriving after hours, please tell us in advance and we'll send your cabin details to proceed directly there. If the main gate is closed on arrival, stay right and proceed to the parking lot, or directly to your cabin.
- If you are staying offsite, enter the property by staying to the right of the main gate. You will reach a parking lot on the back right, where you can leave your car for as long as needed. No check-in required - join the festivities wherever they may be!
We’ve spent many hours thoughtfully arranging family and friend groups together. Rest assured you will know the people you’ve been assigned with. The Hawkesdene staff will give your room assignment upon arrival, or let us know if you're getting in after hours and we will provide it in advance.
Guests staying off-property have an array of options at nearby cabins and hotels. Please note that Ubers and transportation to/from the venue are very limited in this area, but we will be offering a shuttle service for the wedding night. Offsite guests may also purchase a weekend grounds pass that includes all meals, drinks, snacks and amenities while visiting Hawkesdene.
Please view each event on our website for the recommended attire. Spring mountain weather is difficult to predict. We're hoping for clear skies and warm temps, but please be prepared for possible showers and cool evenings.
Beer and wine will be provided with dinners and events (spirits included in the reception and boozy brunch). Hawkesdene will have mixers available at all meals if you wish to bring your own liquor. We also recommend bringing your favorite beverages for daytime and late night activities, and if you need to make a grocery run, there are an Ingles and a Walgreens 10 minutes away. The closest ABC store is a 30 min drive.

· Earplugs (just in case!)
· Flashlight (it gets dark when you’re off the grid)
· Light Jacket (us Californian’s still consider 65 to be chilly)
· Lounge clothes (to sit by the fire in)
· Sleep mask
· Sneakers & Comfortable Shoes
· Sunscreen
· Umbrella/Rain Jacket
· Lawn chairs/portable chairs (for yard games)
Items to Leave at Home
· Bath towels and sheets (Hawkesdene is like a bed and breakfast)
