La Rade de Toulon
The Rade de Toulon is a harbor located on the French coast of the Mediterranean, in the Var region of Provence-Alpes-Côte-d'Azur. It is bordered by the Toulon-Provence-Méditerranée metropolis and in particular the municipalities of Toulon, La Seyne-sur-Mer and Saint-Mandrier-sur-Mer.
Used since ancient times by Greek and Roman ships, it is now home to the civil and military port of Toulon. It is surrounded by several protective forts, such as the fort of Six-Fours, still in use, as well as several others such as the fort of Balaguier, which have been reformed and constitute an important military heritage.
→ Take a commented boat trip on the harbour, where the whole maritime history of Toulon will be told to you! For nearly an hour, the Bateliers de la rade will make you discover a whole heritage that, beyond its history, promises panoramas worthy of postcards.

Les plages de Mourillon
It is perhaps the favourite place of Toulon inhabitants! In summer, we swim there of course, but all year long, we walk there, children learn to ride bikes, eat candy floss, teenagers meet on the dykes, families have a picnic on the lawns or in the seaside restaurants, sportsmen invest the work-out area or jog along the beaches, and the "sailors" meet at the Yacht Club or at the departure of each cove. Not forgetting the activity that makes you dream: admiring our seniors in winter as well as in summer (and especially in winter, by the way) taking off their bathrobes to go and take their daily bath in the big blue!
Bandon
Only 15 km from Toulon, the wine region of Bandol is known and of course, appreciated for its delicious local wines.
Sanary-sur-Mer
In a few minutes by car (10km), you can go to Sanary-sur-Mer, a seaside resort known to be calmer than its neighbours on the Riviera. Its small port, its pastel houses, and its quiet beaches will charm you without any doubt.
Hyères
Famous for its incredible land, sea and underwater landscapes, Hyères is a must if you are going to visit Toulon. Just like the Islands of Hyères and the Island of Porquerolles. For the lovers of nautical activities, the Bay of Hyères will be a real little paradise, with sailing kayaking, kitesurfing or even paddling!
Le Presqu'île de Giens
Beaches, small fishing villages, nature reserve, beautiful coastal walk... Everything is gathered at the Presqu'île de Giens for a beautiful day at the water's edge, on a breathtaking geographical site.
Cassis et ses Calanques
About thirty kilometres away, stop in Cassis and opt for a boat trip along the Calanques. The most courageous will venture to discover them by hiking in the Calanques National Park!
