Project Medishare for Haiti

The Orphans and Vulnerable Children Program through Project Medishare for Haiti serves children in Lahoye, an impoverished, rural community in Central Plateau, Haiti.

Priya first traveled to Haiti with Project Medishare in February 2015 as a pediatric resident, and continues to feel a strong connection to the children, the people, and the country of Haiti.

This program helps provide children in the community of Lahoye with much-needed access to basic healthcare. Services include physical exams, vision and hearing screening, basic immunizations, de-worming medication, and treatment for anemia and malnutrition.

The Oscar Peterson School of Music

The Oscar Peterson School of Music located in Toronto, is a community-based music and arts school dedicated to the idea that music education should be accessible to all.

Norman grew up an avid musician and continues to be inspired by the invaluable education, experiences, and skills that music has provided him with.

This school works to create original and innovative programs that reflect Canada’s unique multicultural society, recognizing that every student has individual methods of learning and levels of ability. The Oscar Peterson Program, in particular, is a scholarship program that is working to provide comprehensive musical training, tuition-free, to underserved youth from across the Greater Toronto Area.
