Norman and Priya met in their Los Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles. What started as a date turned into several hours and a lifetime. They quickly discovered they shared the same interests in sports, being outdoors, and watching re-runs of Seinfeld. Priya also believed Norman when he said he was a good basketball and tennis player, only to leave him in total defeat.
Norman and Priya took their first trip together to Yosemite National Park in California. They hiked, they jet skied, they shopped, and they ate. But they also made sure to not miss any Toronto Raptors playoff games :).
They continued on with more adventures including horseback riding, snow tubing, pumpkin carving, and easter egg decorating. Quarantining together during the pandemic also reignited their childhood passion for video games. But it seemed that Priya had more childhood experience, as Norman was again left in embarrassing defeat.
Norman spent a few months planning a special surprise weekend in Napa, California for the proposal. The week before, he called Priya's parents as well as her older brother, Shamir, to ask permission. It appears however that Norman and Priya are both fairly clueless, as during the proposal Norman initially got down on both knees (instead of one), and Priya put the ring on her right hand (instead of her left). But this just confirmed to them and everyone else that they were meant to be together :).
