To make sure everyone receives the best rate, and gets to the correct hotel, we have a travel agent securing us a group package at Secrets. Nicola is your go-to for travel information and to book your trip!

Let her know you are booking for Tymek and Nicole's wedding and she will take care of you! Note a $200 non refundable deposit is due upon booking to secure the spot, and the remainder of the cost will be due by December 23rd, 2022.
To ensure the best possible opportunity for room availability, we strongly suggest putting your deposit down as soon as possible. The closer to the day of travel we get - the bigger possibility we have that the resort will fill up.
For booking, Nicola will need the following information:
1) Your name as it appears on passports
2) Dates of birth
3) Home address and phone
4) Any special requests for the room
5) Do you require trip cancellation and/or medical insurance
6) Credit card or VISA/Mc debit for the $200pp deposit

We have all events scheduled within 1 week, with the wedding occuring on Tuesday March 7th 2023. We would love to have you there for the whole week to celebrate together! Travel would look as follows:
ARRIVAL : Sunday March 5th 2023
DEPARTURE: Sunday March 12th 2023
**Our Ottawa guests will arrive on Friday March 3rd, but not to fret! Tymek and I will already be there to welcome you.
For guests joining us from out of Canada, arrival dates may not allow for a Sunday arrival and will vary in price from the group package pricing. Nicola can assist with your specific travel needs but please do so as soon as possible to allow for the best pricing.
Travel Questions
Can I attend for less than 1 week?
Although we'd love to have you there for the entirety of the festivities, you can arrange your stay for less than a week. Please note the group pricing is based on a 1 week stay with Westjet/Sunwing, and a shorter stay may require land and air to be booked separately.
When should I pay for the trip?
We suggest booking as soon as you know you can attend! The deposit of $200 dollars is non refundable but will secure your trip and rate. Our hold is only valid until August 18, 2022. The remaining balance for your trip will be due by December 22, 2022.
Can I book the trip myself?
Of course you are welcome to! But know that we are using Nicola to secure a group rate so everyone can save a bit of money.
Can I use points for the flight but still book the hotel with you?
You bet! Before booking your flights on points, email Nicola for the land only rate for Secrets and make sure your booked flight dates line up with dates you are booking at the hotel! Note that land only pricing will always be more than provided within the package.
Can I stay at a different hotel?
Yes, we would still love to celebrate our wedding day with you even if you decide to stay at a different resort. There are many resorts close to Secrets that will cost a little less, but note we can only guarantee a day pass for the day of the wedding only. If you're booking into a different hotel, you can still work with Nicola to secure the best rate and ensure you're with us on the right dates :)
Is the wedding only one day?
Our "big day" will only be on March 7th, however we have some fun surprises/events happening throughout the week! Though we'd love to do everything with everyone, we encourage all our guests to treat this as a vacation for themselves too, so if you would prefer to go off resort for a solo excursion or do your own thing during any of the days/events, we totally support that! Just don't plan anything for wedding day :)
I have dietary restrictions... what will I eat?
A huge part of our decision to choose Secrets is their amazing food options and ability to work with dietary needs. Rest assured throughout the week, and on wedding day, we will have something you can enjoy! On that note, if you do have a specific dietary restriction we can accomodate on wedding day, please let us know in advance so we can take care of it!
What do I wear to a beach wedding?!
Although we are getting married in paradise, our ceremony and reception will not be held directly on the beach. With that being said, we are in Mexico and it will likely be a bit warm. For wedding day, please bring a semi formal outfit in a neutral colour. We ask you to avoid wearing jeans, bright colours, or heavily patterned shirts for the wedding day! For the rest of wedding week make sure to bring your swimwear, shades, and some flip flops! Come vacation ready :)
If booking through Nicola, our group rate will include transportation from the airport (PVR) to Secrets Vallarta Bay and back when leaving.
If you are booking without our travel agent, we suggest pre-arranging transportation to the hotel, as the cab options at the airport when you arrive are pricey and a tad hectic.
Never been to Mexico before? When you arrive you will need to exit customs and walk through a bunch of time share sales people... PLEASE DO NOT STOP for these people even if they say they are from our resort. They are trying to sell you on a timeshare sales pitch and will delay your arrival to the FUN at the hotel :)
