Welcome To Maui

We look forward to sharing this special place with you!!! While you are planning your stay, please be sure to look at some of the helpful information and tips we have included below. If you have any questions at all while planning, please reach out to Nicole or Max.

Know before you go

West Maui

While looking for places to stay in Maui, be sure to book in West Maui for ease of traveling to events during our Wedding week! West Maui includes the coast between Olowalu and Kapalua. We have negotiated two resort blocks for your convenience, but West Maui also offers many Airbnb & VRBO options.

Where To Stay

Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa

The Sheraton Resort & Spa is just steps away from the world famous Black Rock. Here you can find a more laid back traditional Hawaiian resort with incredible ocean views. The Sheraton is just a short walk over the hustle & bustle of the Kaanapali coast!

Please note our room blocks closed on August 1st. We  recommend looking at West Maui (Kapalua, Kaanapali & Lahaina) while planning your stay.

The Westin Maui Resort & Spa, Kāʻanapali

The newly renovated Westin Maui Resort & Spa provides a modern Tahitian feel. Sitting in the heart of Kāʻanapali The Westin is just steps from the sand, with multiple restaurants, shops, and tons of activities for all ages!

Please note our room blocks closed on August 1st. We recommend looking at West Maui (Kapalua, Kaanapali & Lahaina) while planning your stay.

Places To Explore

Haleakalā National Park: Sunrise, sunset, a hike around the crater or a bike ride down from the top, the house of the sun will never disappoint! Just don't forget your jacket or some layers as park temps can drop to "chilly willy" at its 10k elevation.

Road to Hana:  Couples out there... Good Luck :)

But really... the Road to Hana is breathtaking! Be sure to stop for some fresh banana bread or a coconut, waterfalls, walks in the bamboo and rainbow eucalyptus forest, black sand beaches or The Seven Sacred pools past Hana.

Pro Tip! Start this journey early and make sure to park in designated spots. The locals will appreciate you more!

Ioa Valley: Rain or shine, Ioa will never disappoint.

Wailea: Whether you are looking for some shopping, golfing, or an amazing spa day (Grand Wailea Spa). Wailea has some amazing places to explore. If you are looking to break up your stay, N + M have some additional recommendations for this side of the Island!

P.S. be sure you are staying on the West Maui during the wedding festivities. Though the drive is only an hour, there is only one road from Wailea to West Maui and traffic delays are common.

Lāhainā Town: Shop and dine around the old historic town of Lāhainā. Don't forget to say hello to Nicole's favorite tree, the Banyan tree!

Did Someone Say Poke?

Mama's Fish House: A family favorite and a MUST while in Maui! Mama's books up quickly, so be sure to call this Spring (Mama's starts reservations months in advanced) and ask for a seat near the window for a prime view and experience.

Best Poké in Maui - We will accept challengers here! But we've found that Poké at Napili Market has been hard to beat! Grab some Have'A Chips, a towel, and head down to Napili Beach and ENJOY! :)

The Gazebo: Looking for a breakfast after one too many Mai Tai's? Happens to the best of us! Head to The Gazebo for a stack of macadamia nut pancakes and Max's favorite - the fried rice. Don't let the line scare you away, this place is WELL worth the wait!

Pro Tip! In a rush, order to go...

SanseiNicole's absolute favorite sushi spot on the Island... just trust us here!

Maui Brewing Company: Be sure to try a refreshing taste of Maui here. Either stop into the Lāhainā location with a full restaurant or stop at the Kihei location for a selection of top Maui food trucks.

Alchemy Maui: Looking for some fresh Kombucha? Be sure to check out Alchemy for their rotating tap while walking around Lāhainā Town.

Getting There

Transportation to the wedding: We have arranged for transportation to and from the wedding so that you are able to enjoy the wedding, and if you choose, to attend the afterparty!

Transportation will pick up at The Westin Kāʻanapali and drop off at Olowalu Plantation House prior to the ceremony. Returns will be to either The Westin or the afterparty at The Dirty Monkey in Lāhainā. (Additional details around timing to follow)

Flights: When booking flights, be sure that you are flying into Maui's Kahului Airport (OGG).

Rental Cars: We highly recommend rental cars if you are looking to explore the island. The island does have Uber and some hotels, including The Westin (but not the Sheraton), include a house car for local pick ups and drop offs.  When looking at Uber, please remember that availability and wait times are not as reliable as typical Ubers on the mainland.

Pro Tip! Check out Costco Travel for discounted rental rates.

FAQ's

We will continue to update this section... But in the meantime, please see some helpful Q&As below!

Tropical Formal?

Ladies: Think bright colors and cocktail dresses. Nicole recommends a thick heel or wedge as our venue is on the grass. Also... don't forget, Maui is known to get a bit windy around sunset!

Gents: Suit with no tie. Hawaiian shirts & blazers with slacks. Tropical formal has arrived!

Plus ones? Plus ones will be specified on the invite along with all invited guests.

Kiddos and little ones? Some of our favorite humans! Though we love your littles, unless specifically invited, we are asking that our wedding is adults only. We will have some little dudes, who are part of the wedding party, only attending the ceremony.

We are happy to have your little's join us for all other activities!

Please let us know if you have any questions.
