•Trace is Nat’s eldest sister and possibly the most organised person on the planet. She is a domestic goddess with culinary skills that ‘skrik vir niks’.
•With a love for all things wedding related, Trace has been a massive help to Nat throughout the planning process. Once she has a few GnTs in her, be sure to ask Trace to show you her famous move on the dancefloor-The Ostrich!
•With a 3 year gap, Lea is the sibling closest in age to Nat. They have often been told that they are twin-like in mannerisms and often get mistaken for each other over phone calls or voice notes.
•Lea is Nat’s biggest triathlon inspiration-she completed a full Ironman in 2015!
•Lea is married to Justin and anyone who was at their wedding will tell you that their first dance was the best they’ve ever seen-Matt and Nat have a tough act to follow!
•For non-Afrikaans speakers, Susan is pronounced ‘Soo-Sun’, but she also goes by Sue.
•Nat and Sue have been friends since they were 2 year olds attending Little Eden Pre-School in Tzaneen. Their friendship has survived the many ups and downs and questionable decisions made in Primary and High School and at University together in Pretoria.
•Sue’s favourite flower is a sunflower which is apt because she is sunshine personified!
•For any guests who would like a tutorial on the popular Afrikaans dancing style, the sokkie, Sue is your gal!
•In case you can’t tell from their pictures, Annelle is Sue’s twin sister and her name is pronounced ‘Uh-Nel’, for the non-Saffa guests.
•She is the very talented artist who produced the line drawing of the famous Lunikhy tree on the wedding stationary.
•Anel is like a sister to Nat and has been there through all of life’s chapters; the highs, the lows and everything in between!
•A fun fact about Anel is that she is an avid bird watcher so if any guests would like information about the feathered friends at Lunikhy, let’s hope she packed her binoculars!
•Matt and Haydos have been chums since taking to the court for the Coffs Harbour Suns under 12s basketball team. From there they have had cracking times from Brisbane to Berlin, in sun and snow.
•This guy managed to work a scene from Friends into his own wedding vows, so who knows what he has in store for us.
•Matt and Jared went to primary and high school together and were captain/vice-captain (head boy and deputy for you Saffas).
•Their relationship started a little rocky when someone scratched Jared’s new bike at his 8th birthday party and fingers were pointed, but they worked through that and have been roommates and travelled to various corners of the world together.
•One of three groomsmen representing Bond University -Matt and James studied law together and were roomies at Bond.
•Guaranteed to have the best hair at the wedding and might join the band to tinkle the ivories if he’s had enough red.
•Another Bond university groomsmen, Bond roommate and, very importantly, teammate when Bond University won the gold medal in mixed netball at University Games.
•Don’t let his big dad energy fool you, this guy is guaranteed to be the loudest man on the dance floor when Livin’ On A Prayer hits the speakers.
•The final groomsman representing Coffs Harbour, Matt and Stocksy are high school pals, and for many a Monday evening during high school, a dynamic indoor cricket batting partnership.
•A man of many talents, if the chef or bar staff can’t make the wedding, Stocksy has us covered.
•The last (but by no means least) Bondie groomsman. Although Matt and Cal weren’t roomies at Bond, they made up for that by living under the same roof for some time in Melbourne.
•An angelic voice when singing in the shower will no doubt be brought out on wedding day by Mr Wood.
