I will never forget the first day I met Nandhini, when I thought she was a tad averse towards me, an attitude I was never going to admire. I have to admit, I was wrong and boy, am I happy that I was :)
It surprises me how much we want to be with each other, given that we are dissimilar people with very few things in common. I guess the phrase "opposites attract" is not so crazy after all. We share each other's hobbies and enjoy venturing into the unkown. She claims that I influence her more, I disagree of course! But she now hums songs by Metallica, AC/DC and even Rammstein, so maybe there is some truth to that, or I just have good taste in music (+1 for Sohan :-D).
From strangers, to best friends, to almost married, I could not have asked for a better script. Story level over 9000!!
I met Sohan seven years ago and I remember telling people that he is the sweetest and funnest person ever. Little did I know that I'll be spending the rest of my life with him. He has an amazing sense of humor, and I have laughed more in these seven years than I have in my entire life. Not one day goes by without me feeling grateful for having him in my life.
Sohan is the exact opposite of me. He is the life of the party while I am the introvert in the corner. He is that back bencher who creates chaos and I'm the first bencher that the back benchers borrow notes from. He is the listener and I'm the talker. He is the spontaneous one while I plan to the last tiny detail. He is levelheaded and I'm the headless chicken. He is very practical and well.. you get the gist. Sohan.. you are the yin to my yang, the ink to my pen, the paani to my puri, the sugar in my chai and the love of my life. And, I cannot wait to marry my best friend, my forever, my lobster.
On a sunny September evening, he whisked her away to the Palace of Fine Arts and at the pretense of taking a picture of her silhoutte, he popped the question as she turned; taking her breath away once again as she said YES!!
