Aron (Nadía's brother) is a certified private pilot, and if you want to see Iceland's colourful landscape from above, you will not forget going up there with Aron as your pilot. He will be available for flights from Sunday to Friday - either from Reykjavik or from Seljalandsfoss on the southcoast. The flight could go over Reykjavík or/and further to the Vestmanneyrar islands on the southcoast for an experience you will remember forever.
Maximum 3 people per flight. Price is €160 per hour. Please contact Aron on email aronma98@gmail.com or +354 698 0048 to get more details.
If you want to experience more of Iceland than Reykjavík and the Golden Circle, we reeeaaaally recommend this Superjeep Tour with our good friend Logi. He will show you the breathtaking nature of Iceland on this tour that can be tailored after how much time you have. Typically, the tour will start at Seljalandsfoss waterfall and continue into Thorsmörk National Park, passing the infamous glacier volcano Eyjafjallajökull, crossing wide rivers with the jeep and stopping to walk further into parts of this unique wilderness.
This tour could start around 10:00 in the morning, and you can be back at Seljalandsfoss around 17:00. Price for 6-8-hour tour is around €725 for a 6-person jeep. Please contact Lasse on Facebook to book the tour.
If you visit Iceland for the first time, you should definitely go on the Golden Circle. It is a 3-4 hour drive where you will see some of the greatest natural wonders of Iceland: The Thingvellir National Park, the Gullfoss waterfall and the Geysir phenomenon. You can either continue the tour to other places or return to Reykjavík later in the same day. Let us know if you have any questions.
If you have time to drive for a whole day eastward from Reykjavík, we will definitely recommend you to visit the Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon on the southeast coast where you can sail between icebergs in all forms and shapes. This is a truly breathtaking experience, as you can see on our faces on this photo from when we visited the lagoon.
Book the Zodiac boat tour in advance to get the best deal (www.icelagoon.is).
Vestmannaeyjar - or the Westman Islands - is one of the best kept secrets in Iceland. Its stunning cliffs, caves and valleys covered by lava and green grass will offer views that you will see nowhere else. And the hundreds of puffins will put a smile on your face. You can reach the islands with a ferry from Landeyjahöfn on the southcoast (35 mins). It's a great trip for an unforgetable afternoon off the coast if you are driving on the southcoast.

If you drive on the southcoast and become hungry for a good steak, then head in to Gamla Fjósið which is an old farm turned into a restaurant. You will not regret!
There are no other places like this in Iceland. An indoor tomato farm with its own restaurant where you can get fresh tomato soup, tasteful pizza and Bloody Mary. If you are on the Golden Circle, this is a great choice for lunch!
Icecream in Iceland? Yes, it's possible, and it doesn't get better than at Efstidalur - an old cow and horse farm serving lunch, dinner and of course icecream made from the cows in the barn right next to the restaurant. Efstidalur is located right on the Golden Circle and it's a great place to stop if you need to digest the beautiful landscape experiences in the area.
Nadía used to work here as a waitress, but she can't take all the credit of why 3 Frakkar is the best and most authentic fish restaurant in Reykjavík. The headchef is world famous for his work, and the menu includes everything from whale, puffin, plokkfiskur, cod, and the famous hákarl rotten shark. Book in advance!
There are many good reasons to go to Bryggjan Brugghús: Unique micro brews. Delicate dishes. Cozy atmosphere. View over the harbour. And the list goes on. Come here for dinner or lunch, or just for a beer. On Sundays there will be live jazz bands playing. You will regret if you don't visit.
Eating a lobster soup at this authentic, informal seafood place is one of the best things you could do in the Reykjavík harbour area. So do it! Close your eyes after the first spoonful, and you will find yourself in paradise.
You can't leave Reykjavík without having tried the classic Icelandic hotdog from Bæjarins Beztu. Just ask Bill Clinton, who visited in the 90's.
Icelanders love their burgers, and no other place come close to Búllan as the best place for a sleasy burger and fries.
What more is there to say than this: If you want a pizza in Reykjavík, this is where you should go.
There are three excellent tapas restaurants in Reykjavík: This one called Burro, and then Tapasbarinn and Public House. They are all very recommendable! If you go to Burro, you can finish (or start) your dinner by going upstairs to Pablo which is a cool cocktail bar.
You can be lucky to get a table here if you book in good advance. So do it now! The first Michelin-star restaurant in Iceland mixing the Nordic cuisine with Icelandic herbs and creativity.
The locals love this authentic Icelandic beer bar. It's getting more and more popular, and when you go there, you will find out why. One of the reasons is that they serve damn good beer.
When it's close to midnight, something weird happens at Prikið, this cool bar in central Reykjavík. The bartenders start swinging the lamps hanging from the ceiling, and the whole place starts moving. Young Icelandic hipsters love to come here, and the swinging lamps are just one reason. Prikið also serve great brunch and lunch during the day.
Damon Albarn from Blur used to own this place, and if you come here after midnight, you will see why a British rockstar would love this place. The whole floor is dancing, the beat is pumping, and Reykjavík's coolest crowd comes to life. In the daytime, you should go here for a coffee - it is called Kaffibarinn afterall.
This is the best wine bar in Reykjavík. Well, it's the only one, but what a spot. Great wine, great service, rooftop bar and delicious brunch if you come early in the day.
You can eat and you can drink at Bryggjan Brugghús, probably the best brewery bistro north of the Alps. On Sundays, you can also see Icelandic jazz bands playing cozy notes while you enjoy your drink and/or dinner. Oh, and there's a view to the harbour as well.
What is a better memory from your trip to Iceland than a homemade wool sweater or a warm wool blanket? You know, winter is coming.
Nadía's parents run a family business by the Seljalandsfoss waterfall, and they would like to give you 30 % discount on all wool sweaters and wool blankets - and a good deal on other products, too - if you come and visit the shop.
Oh, and you can go behind the waterfall for free and experience the place where Lasse proposed to Nadía <3
