DRINKING WATER
The Royalton Punta Cana has distilled/purified water, which is fine to drink. However, bottled water is widely available. The water available in the bathrooms is not potable, which means that you may use this water for bathing and brushing teeth but this water should be avoided for drinking. Bottles of water will be readily stocked in rooms and feel free to request more.
ALLERGENS/DIETARY RESTRICTIONS
For guests with food allergies or dietary restrictions please be advised that the resort will be happy to accommodate special meal requests however please keep in mind that the kitchens in which the food is prepared will not be free of allergens. Food can be at risk as a result of cross contamination (mixed utensils, common prep tables). If a guest has a severe allergy which can result in anaphylactic shock then they will have to remain very vigilant about their meals and should not count on the kitchens being free of the allergen.
Guests with dietary restrictions must inform the host/hostess/chef before dining and remind them of those restrictions. For your own safey, please do not assume that the staff will remember.
Likewise, guests should not assume that buffet items are allergen free (even if labeled) because in a buffet set up there is a large chance for cross contamination (i.e. a guest mixing up the serving spoons).
