Our love story didn't start off like a fairy tale. Instead it started in the most millennial fashion possible, on a dating app. It was 'like' at first sight and the five hours of our first date felt too short.
Yash asked me out to be his girlfriend in the most cutest way possible, on our way to see Christmas lighting in Philly. He asked me to open the glove compartment in his car and there were these little sticky notes saying why he wanted to take this friendship forward and at the end there was a checkbox asking 'Yes' or 'Yes'. I've yet to check off the Yes.

We planned a secret trip to Virginia beach and after that getaway, we knew we were right for each other. It will forever be a precious memory for us.
Many of you might know that Yash & I were in a long distance relationship for a year while doing our first years of residencies. Even with our busy schedules, we looked forward to our nightly Facetimes and managed to meet up every couple of months. Honestly, this distance brought us even closer!

I was actually very nervous about the proposal, not because I was afraid she would say no but because I wanted it to be a complete surprise till THIS moment and it went better than expected with the perfect sunset, perfect pictures, perfect emotions and the most perfect YES.

Right after our Puerto Rico trip, our friends threw us a surprise engagement party and we were overjoyed. They even had games for Yash and I. Part of that was me proposing to Yash and of course HE SAID YES!!
