The haldi ceremony marks the beginning of the wedding rituals. A paste is prepared with turmeric (haldi) and rubbed onto the bride’s and groom’s cheeks, hands and feet by family members and friends. It's a fun event! 

When Haldi is applied to the bride & groom, it is believed that it will bring them good luck and prosperity as they start a new chapter in their life.

Feel free to wear yellow and/or bright colors!  This is a religious ceremony in nature, no shorts or jeans please! 

Women: Indian attire or western option such as dress, skirt/top, pants/top. 

Men: Kurta or western option such as short sleeve polo, shirt or henley with chinos/pants.

Join us as we set sail, drink and dance the night away on the Concordia Steamship!

Built in 1926, The Concordia is a three story steamship and one of the survived samples of steamboats in Europe. Their characteristic is that they navigate not by engine but by the water vapor, and they are moved by two big shovel-wheels.

Shuttle service from Hotel Sheraton to Tavernola Dock is arranged.

5:00-5:15 PM: Guests are requested to take the shuttle from Sheraton hotel to Tavernola dock. 

5:20-5:30 PM: Guests board ship and ship departs.

9:15-9:30 PM Ship returns to Tavernola Dock. Transportation arranged for guests from dock to Sheraton Hotel.

The word “Sangeet “ means music, but when it is used as a term to describe a celebratory event during an Indian wedding it translates to Musical Night or Musical party. This musical night is a celebration and bonding of family and friends.

Recommend wearing comfortable shoes and bring a shawl or light jacket as it can get chilly in the evening.

Women: Indian (lenghas, sari) or western cocktail/semi-formal attire

Men: Indian (kurtas/sherwani) or western semi-formal attire (button down shirt + slacks).

9:00 - 9:40 AM - Guests take shuttle bus from Hotel Sheraton to Villa Bonomi

10:00 AM - Baarat starts

10:40 AM - Wedding Ceremony begins followed by lunch

1:30-2:00 PM - Shuttle busses will take guests from Villa Bonomi back to Sheraton hotel

Bus service from Sheraton hotel begins at 5:30PM for all guests to go to Villa Bonomi.

5:30 PM: Guests are requested to be in the Hotel Sheraton lobby to board the busses. 

6:30 PM: Cocktail hour begins

7:30 PM: Dinner, dancing 

10:45 PM - 11:00 PM: Shuttle bus service begins to take guests back to Sheraton hotel.
