We highly recommend travelling into Sarasota-Bradenton Airport - it is a 10 minute drive to downtown Sarasota. The Embassy Suites hotel offers a free shuttle to and from the airport, otherwise there are plenty of ubers and taxis for an easy trip!

TPA may offer more direct flights from your location, however it is a 1 hour 10 minute drive from downtown Sarasota. 

RSW in Fort Myers may also offer more direct flights from your location, however this airport is also a 1 hour 10 minute drive to downtown Sarasota as well.
